I'm almost certain that he never claimed his life is difficult. I'm not really a fan of the guy, but if you're going to criticize him, at least try to have an idea of what he actually said.

I don't understand what he thinks the U.S. should be doing about it. it's a police state enough w/o the federal government coordinating all of law enforcement.

I hate Clay Travis but because of Kaepernick, I finally had to agree with him once. I'll link it just in case you're interested. Amusing to say the least.

You should read through some of Kaepernicks twitter feed. He just retweets radical black agenda tweets. The genius also compared the US flag to the Confederate flag, as in, both flags represent oppression. I wonder if Kaepernick can look around the field, sidelines and stands and even see a single oppressed black person.

Whether what he said is correct or not isn't the point. The problem is the way he's showing his opinion on that issue also is a huge slap in the face to everyone that cares anything about the country we live in. If he can't manage to show minimal respect for our country he really doesn't deserve any of the privileges that also comes from living here. Like making millions of dollars playing in the NFL.

I have a bigger problem with Apple's CEO who says he will not pay his share of taxes. He has made billions in the USA but won't allow Apple to pay their taxes. One's a gesture the other is criminal.

Before judging him, we need to see a 30 for 30 doc about how hard his life has been. This is how the world works now.

I don't give a rat's *** about what his life has been like. All kinds of people have had horrible lives and they still muster the grace and dignity to stand for the anthem of their country. Holocaust survivors stand for the anthem; people imprisoned in Japanese internment camps stand for the anthem; wounded veterans stand on prosthetic legs for the anthem.

A "man" who gets paid millions of dollars to play a game in the freest country in the world can stand for the anthem, the ungrateful son of a *****.

However "hard" his life has been, he is now able to have free speech and earn a living because of that flag and what it stands for. He may not have been raised with a silver spoon, but he certainly is enjoying one now.

Compared to our country, our police, our military, and our flag, he is a piece of crap.

Wont stand for the national anthem as a protest. Putting the issue hes protesting aside, would you cheer for him if youre a 49ers fan?

I would cut him IMMEDIATELY.
No! I would immediately cash in my season tickets provided I had season tickets! Good news for Forty-niners fans who want to give up their season tickets is that the Oakland Raiders are just across the bay if they still want to follow local NFL football! Amazing! A country that has afforded him the freedom of playing professional football and become a millionaire! I think he needs to exit our country and go to, maybe, a middle eastern country where they really know how to oppress people when they don't agree with their ideology!

No matter how hard his life has been, he still probably has had a much better life than he would have had in 90% of the rest of the world. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that gives him the right to do what he did, except maybe the United States constitution over whose country that great flag flies! If he makes that stand in Saudi Arabia or Iran, it would cost him time in prison and it could cost him his life! How pathetic Kaepernick is!

Well written! I have no particular opinion of Clay Travis, but he certainly did a good job of spelling out, in a very professional and systematic manner, the way that I feel, as a patriotic America, needs to be said. I grew up in a military family, and my father fought in two wars and saw friends die so that Kaepernick could have that freedom! But boy what an idiot!

He's pissing on the wrong cause and subject. Does he not get it that our flag stands for so many dead and wounded in our nation's history to keep this the most free nation in the world that allows him to enjoy the fabulous life he has? Disrespecting the flag is also disrespecting every person in our nation's history that wore the uniform that stands for liberty and individual's rights. The flag has not one friggin thing to do with recial injustice, as he feels, and he's only using this as a stage for his agenda. Good thing for him is he plays in San Francisco where so many other pieces of crap live that also seem to hate our country. Owner should have cut him immediately but remarks I read showed ownership stood up for his right to demonstrate. Makes the entire 49'er organization look bad.

Is he even black?

I'm a life-long Niners fan and hate the guy. Not thrilled about the Kelley hire either.

I think the condemnation of Kaepernick's action have now been expressed to the nth. So it's time to bring this to a conclusion. The actions of a football player are relative to a point but the point has gotten into an entire different area that's better suited for the Paddock.
