How do they match up?
Here's how I see it...
1. UK = Targaryens; incestuous history, prone to madness, blood of the dragon
2. IU = Stark; old house, once great but now nearly extinct though still has promise for a strong revival
3. Duke = Lannister; has beef with everyone, Laettner is the Kingslayer and the shot was the sword in Aerys' back.
4. UNC = Baratheon; close to Lannister but they hate each other nonetheless
5. Kansas = Tully; great house but not in the same league as the other great houses, one level down
6. UCLA = Martell; removed, on the coast, different from the rest
7. UL = Freys; down and dirty though they think they're great
8. Syracuse = Arryn; and the Carrier Dome is the Eeryie
9. UConn = Boltons; good recent success though can't be trusted
10. Mich St = Tyrell; mainly by default
