College basketball is a garbage product and the NBA isn't better.

College basketball for the most part is awful to watch. Full of teams that want to rock right to victory. NBA is the superior product but they have fallen into 3 point love affair with not running an offense so folks have turned it off. It reminds me almost of watching a kid play a video game.
I think it’s became the most popular because it does have action/physicality (why it replaced baseball years ago) but still has breaks between plays and allows you to BS with someone or drink and still keep up with the game.
The nba product has went downhill big time and is boring.
But college is much slower and people can't shoot. It's not that the nba guys aren't playing defense, it's bc everyone is that good, they're making what you watch look easy.
Same with nfl, it's so much faster. Endless mistakes in college football.

I like both but prefer college basketball (obviously as a UK fan) because there’s a lot more passion (fans, rivalries, etc), and individual games matter a lot more. The NBA playoffs are awesome but it’s hard to get into the regular season when each individual game matters so little. Also feel like the NBA has a 3 point problem. It made it more fun at first when it was in moderation, but the NBA is at its best when dudes are going at each other at the rim.
