Who amongst us had Fitz on the hot seat and Collins with an extension 2 years ago On their bingo card?
Obviously this was all expected as early as February after that huge 5 game winning streak. By the Indiana/Iowa wins, it was pretty clear that we had locked up a tournament spot and a Collins extension.
Reasonable length as well and gives rebuild time if needed.

I think this year shows how thin the line between success and failure can be.
In late January, I felt reasonably confident that the decision on Collins would likely come down to an NIT bid giving him an extra year without an extension or no NIT bid resulting in his dismissal.
Instead everything changed after 5 straight wins in Feb of which 2 were by 2 points and another 2 by 6 points. We ended up with an NCAA bid and another tournament win.
Football has been difficult since Hank left. If anything it was hard to appreciate in real time just how good of a DC he was (top 5 throughout) until we saw what a much worse managed defense looked like.
Bajakian's seat is as hot as JON's was last year so hopefully he can come up with something to turn the offense around. Otherwise next offseason may feature another big dose of football staff changes.
