Matt Gertsmeier has just been enshrined in the Pantheon of Ill-Advised Sports Punditry. He joins such luminaries as Jay Marriotti, Skip Bayless, and NU's own Rick Telander for distinctive contributions to utterly craptastic sports metaphors and analogies. It requires a special type of intellect to attain this high high distinction, not to mention a deadline and an absence of original thought.

They did finally sell out a basketball game this season, but after that performance against Minny, I doubt it will happen again. unless visiting fans provide a good deal of assistance....
