In addition to the restrictions imposed by Tulane...the longer range models are showing a strong hurricane moving through the Gulf. Hard to say where landfall will end up. It **could** impact this game however on 9/4. Will continue to monitor this...

What l've seen, has it hitting this weekend, and on the south Texas coast or even farther south in Mexico.

This would be a separate tropical system which comes almost due north from the Southern Gulf. It’s northward progress looks slower. The slower movement could allow game to go on as planned ahead of this forecasted strong hurricane. Louisiana does get impacted however. Something to watch during prime time cane season.

Hurricanes are like tornadoes they are never guaranteed to go where they're predicted to go.

The game won't be played in Norman. If it looks like a tropical storm or hurricane is in the forecast, they'll move the game to earlier in the week. If it's an aftermath situation, it'll be cancelled or rescheduled.

I think we need this game as a tune up. Tulane is much improved and their game vs Tulsa last year was a very exciting game. West Carolina will not provide a clear report card on effort and performance.

Is this one of the three current systems being tracked by the NHC or is it a different one? Living in Pensacola, I always try to keep up with these things.
