what's the longest distance you've traveled to see a show? I went to PJ last Tuesday in Rupp and I'm seriously considering making the trip to Chicago next month to catch one of the Wrigley Field shows......thanks paddock!!!!

Cancun/Riviera Maya, where the local cops pass out the drugs as you enter the event and then you can splash in the surf as the band plays behind you.

Louisville to Chicago twice in one week earlier this month for a Wednesday Iron Maiden show and a Friday David Gilmour show. Wife couldn't get off work on Thursday, so we drove up and back Wednesday for the Maiden show and back up Friday for the Gilmour one.

Columbus next month for Peter Gabriel / Sting.

I've been to the Bay Area four times to see the guys from the Grateful Dead. Eugene, Ore., Denver, Vegas and Hampton Beach, N.H. for them as well.

I had tickets for one of those Gilmour shows at the United Center. Bought them last summer, but had to put them on StubHub a few weeks ago when some things popped up that kept me from going. Hated to miss it.

Depends on the true definition. Went from Louisville to Tampa to see The Cure but we stayed for a few extra days but the concert was the main reason we went. If that doesn't count then to Nashville in back in the same day to see Springsteen. It was the next to the last show of the tour that Clarence died after.

I went to Lexington to see George strait for his last show there. Tickets were free so I had no problem going. I have a buddy that had made plans a year in advance to go to England and see Michael Jackson. he died a week before he was scheduled to leave. He still went to England but was offered a refund on the tickets or given the tickets that were commentating him. He took the tickets which came framed they are pretty cool looking

God no.
Quadruple parking plus a one lane road leading into one of the most crowded sections of LA?
Shuttle bus all the way.

I think something like Coachella would cause me to go insane.

Wife and I went to a Fiona Apple concert there four years ago and got blocked in and was at the mercy of the car that parked behind us to get to their car and GTFO. It took forever. Really turned me off from ever doing that again.

Shuttle bus would have been the way to go.

Atlanta for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Detroit for a Prince show.

Had tickets to Prince in Atlanta last month, but had to take the refund when it postponed the following week. Ended up being his last ever show.

Damn - that sucks !

The wife and I saw him at that Palace Theatre last March - one of the best shows I have seen in 40 years of going to live gigs.

I was at one of those shows. It was fantastic. All of his shows that I've seen were always fantastic. Louisville Gardens in the mid-90's was mind-blowing for a festival seating show.

Louisville to Seattle for Pearl Jam.. well actually we had a layover in Charlotte then to Seattle
That was a hell of a trip. On the way back our layover was in Chicago which got snowed in our flight got delayed a few times then canceled. We met a fellow UK fan on his way back from a mission trip to Africa. We were all tired but decided to rent a car and drive back in the snow. That sucked but Seattle and Pearl Jam were awesome.

Austin to Vegas for a Billy Joel concert. Was actually planning a visit out there for our wedding anniversary and then found out he'd be out there the same time, just confirmed that we were going out there.

Wife was a huge Chris Cagle fan, so we drove up from Austin to Nashville to see his show at the Wildhorse Saloon, she was a member of his fan club and wanted to meet some other members. Not a fan, mainly just went for the road trip.

Lexington to Boston for a Dave Matthews Band show. They are really the only one I travel for more than an hour or two to see. We plan summer trips around them though, so it is more than just seeing a show. But we've done 8-9 of 5 hours or more to see them (but never a flight - all were driving). I hope to make the trip to The Gorge in 2018 to see them.

I was also lucky enough to live in Colorado for 5 years so we got to see a lot of different shows at Red Rocks; unbelievable venue and worth the road trip if your favorite band is playing there.
