Some interesting nuggets here.

The EIWA has only one automatic bid at 149 lbs. Harney is trying to become the first Morgan State qualifier in the modern era. My prediction is that Harney is either going to make history as the first Morgan State qualifier or he’s going to be a Top-30 RPI wrestler left in the cold. Can you really put him ahead of a 'bubble' guy if he loses?​

Jax has to be near the top in 'match point differential.' If he techs a top-5 guy like Larkin, is there a mathematical reason he shouldn't be the #1 seed in Cleveland? He's obviously going to be punished in the RPI just because he hasn't had enough matches, but he's outscoring his opponents 55-10 this tournament. 2021 Spencer Lee outscored his 44-7 (yes, he had a fall in there). Either way, 133 lbs is going to be amazing to watch at the NCAAs.

125 lbs continues to have the highest upset frequency of any weight class in 2026. Holeman (Cal Poly) beat Renteria (Oregon State) taking an at-large bid away from someone.

Oklahoma State is sending 4 freshmen to the Big 12 finals and will have 6 freshman qualifiers. Taylor is doing something right. This has to be considered one of the best freshman class performances at a conference tournament.​
