Congratulations on the exciting win. The game was there for either team to pull out, and you guys made the defensive plays at the end to keep us from scoring. Just a good, clean, hard fought game. And everywhere I looked before the game and at halftime, I saw Clemson fans (and there sure were plenty of them) standing and conversing with Louisville fans. It was a great college football atmosphere. Congrats again, and I hope you folks enjoyed your time in The Ville.

Clemson has some serious horses...speed and skill in every position it seemed...and they outplayed us (not that we didn't play hard), we were a bit fortunate to be in the game late and got shut down. Hope that Watson matures a bit and stays healthy, you guys have a very bright future. Good luck the rest of the way, cheering for you guys to make the playoff.

Thanks Cards fans. It was a tough game and you guys didn't quit, you kept coming and your team played hard. Every time I thought we were about to pull away, you guys made a play. We were very rusty on offense and Deshaun wasnt his normal self, but some of the credit for that absolutely goes to your team. I really think we missed our best WR, Mike Williams in that game. This was just one of those games we had to rely on our defense.

Before the season we all had this game circled as a key game on our schedule. Playing a Thursday night road game after playing on Saturday is tough enough, but we all have a LOT of respect for your program and knew we would get a tough, hard fought game from you guys and that it would be hard to get out with a win. That proved correct. This was one of those games we just hoped to survive and that's about all we did.

I know you guys are down about the start of the season, but you have a group that is playing hard. I think you are a team in transition and once you settle on what your identity is on offense and some of the new guys settle in, you will be fine. You guys will be a solid team going forward. You are as battle tested as any team out there right now and if your guys keep playing hard, you can be a pretty dang tough team down the stretch and still turn in a solid season. I hope you do just that.

Louisville is a great city. Always enjoy visiting. Look forward to seeing you guys in Death Valley next year. Good luck the rest of the year.

I have a feeling that this matchup is going to be a real nailbiter every year. Last season's game about gave me a heart attack, and yesterday's was pretty much the same story.

I'm about the furthest thing from a Petrino fan, but he's building a good program, and UL will tear up the remaining schedule. Would not be shocked to see you beat FSU (ps. please beat FSU). That defense of yours is salty, and it seems like you've found your QB.

Well played, we'll see you next year back in the Valley, and best of luck with the rest of your schedule!

Understood, and not to redirect the thread, but we all need to give the guy a (2nd) chance. First of all, he's a damn good football coach which is of course his job. His first time around here, he gave us nothing but great results on the field. And most U of L fans recognize that.

His off-the-field stuff is the issue, but it's one he's addressing. His family is intact and in Louisville at his side. He's obviously very visible in this community, and from all appearances, he's behaving like a boy scout. To be honest, if our AD and Petrino's wife can forgive him of his transgressions, who the hell are we to second-guess THEM?

The bottom line is that only time will tell. If ten years from now, he has a couple ACC championships and a clean nose, the decision to take back the prodigal son was a good one. One thing's for sure, he regards football and the ACC very seriously. And he also can be an asset to this conference if he does what he can do and needs to do...

I'm going to bump this thread. I didn't congrats you guys for your win online, because I've been mourning the loss since I left the stadium late Thursday night.
I met a lot of nice, cool Clemson fans, that night. You guys cheered hard the entire game. I congratulated a lot of your fans after the game on the way into the parking lot.

I can't get that Clemson Cheer out of my head where you guys spell out Clemson Tigers. I heard it the whole way from the flight deck to the parking lot.
A lot of talks about the games being close and how it could be a rivalry. A lot of nice fans.

There was a handful of Clemson groups though that where joking on us pretty hard that I didn't appreciate though. They kept asking each other "Do you remember the last time Clemson was 0-3?" and they replied "Oh Wait Clemson has never been 0-3." I understand that they were drinking and happy to escape with a win by the skin of their teeth. It cut me deep but I bit my tongue and just wished you guys a safe trip home. No need to pour salt in the wounds more.

That has rubbed me wrong and I can't remember the last time Louisville has gone 0-3. I do however never recalling our schedule being this tough ever out of the gate for the first 3 games.

For the fans that made those comments (You know who you are cause there was many), No Disrespect but If We would have played Wofford or Appalachian State the last 2 weeks, don't you think We would have pounded them too? You guys are more classy than that. That's why I'm not going to hold it against your entire fan base, just like a Lady Tiger fan told me she said that We were all nice to her except for 1 fan.

I will be in Death Valley next year to make sure that We return the favor of beating you guys in your house. It's been fun and thanks for coming. We will be back.

You should have just smiled and asked if we were limiting the discussion to football. :D

Clemson has great football fans--you can't take anything from them. World class...

No Doubt. Your fan base seemed the friendliest I've ever met. I tried to go out of my way to make sure that they all felt welcome and wish them all to come back again. I just thought the 0-3 comments was too much salt in the wounds, and could have waited for another day. Just bad timing.

I respect all Clemson Fans. You guys are top notch.

Thank you for coming and Congrats on the win.
