It's what draws money. Duke brings in people who either are dying to see them win. Or dying to see them lose.
I've learned that big time this year. Sports isn't about competition between teams to see who is the best. It's about ratings and making money. Duke makes money. Yankees make money. Cowboys and Lakers make money.

ESPN has always hired very disproportinately from the ACC. I wonder who is in a distant second place.

100%…..without the easy money of the cable bundle and the migration of highlight viewing moving to social media ESPN has to do whatever it can to get maximum eyeballs. All their programming decisions make sense if viewed through that prism. They think talking about Flagg non-stop is the best way to increase college basketball ratings.
