Could Alex Dieringer be taking a Olympic RS next year?

You read the article, sounds like it could happen. Maybe that is why we have so many 157/165/174 high end recruits.

Sounds like he might go for it. Needs to place at team trials or universities. I would love to watch him go for it.

Wouldn't be a bad thing as t might let guys like Blees, Marstellar, C Rogers and Crutchmers really develop and settle on a weight while he took his RS. It also might give him a better chance to be a part of a NC team.

It would help clear for some of them, but then it would clog right back up.

Predicting the life of 20 year olds is very hard. It really seems like Marstellar belongs at 165 next year so an olympic redshirt makes great sense. Marstellar my grow into a 174 pounder or Dieringer could move up and that would make us very tough at those two weights.

I like the idea of the Olympic Redshirt.

IMO, if Dierenger takes an Olympic redshirt (I likeit) then Chandler Rogers would step in at 165 rather than Marsteller. Marsteller would either have to go back to 157 or up to 174. I do not believe Marsteller would be effective at 174. He can get heavier but doubtful he would get taller. JMO
