Could this be the one?

Maybe this game is the one that galvanizes this team under Riley. I guess what I am saying is, could this be a game that is a turning point for Riley? Let's hope so. Congratulations players and coaching staff.....it's been a tough year. You guys deserve this one.

And if I seed any MSU fans in this thread bitching about the last non-call, you might want to take a look at the pick plays you got away with all night. Their first touchdown, the wr did not even make an attempt to show that he was getting into a route.....he just straight up blocked.

It takes something like this to get it started. I hope it does. Think about last week versus this week. Two completely different effort levels. I'm very happy for the kids, the fans, and most definitely for Coach. Go ahead and smile, Mike.

12 players on the field multiple times - in redzone - no flags.
their des seemed to be offside all night. and several encroachments - one offside call.
turnabout is fair play.

I hope so, but I thought Minnesota was a turning point and we then lost the next 2. Riley has a history of being inconsistent, beating good teams but losing to bad teams. Hopefully we don't lay an egg next week against a bad Rutgers team.

Exactly. I'm hoping this game is the 'one', but I've been burned already. We'll just have to see.

It felt like it to me. Tonight it really looked like the players played with a lot of intensity and cohesiveness. There were plenty of times they could have packed it in but kept brining it. GBR!

We probably beat Purdue if Armstong started but I agree after Minnesota I thought we would win the next 2 instead we lost them...

Winning the next 2 games would really boost recruiting too.

I know what you are saying when referencing the Minnesota win, but to me this one just has a different feel to it. This seems to be a much more unifying win.....the celebration amongst the players afterwards was awesome. For most of us as fans, this season is pretty much over. For these players and coaches, this can be a huge one. I am excited for them. This was an just amazing to see these guys have some success after having their hearts broken so many times this year.

I said all week that all I wanted to see was some real, tangible improvements and I'd be on board. I saw that tonight with this win. I still think Nebraska can do far better at defensive coordinator but Riley bought himself a lot of good will/patience from people like me. I needed hope in this lost season, I now have it.

I need to see proof of turning any corner and a big win is no stranger to Riley. I want a string o results, not one sample..

How hard is it for you to simply say "I liked what I saw"? Seems like in most of these threads when everyone else is celebrating you're the one saying "meh".

Just for one night, enjoy the victory! You can piss and moan again tomorrow...

Really hope this is the turning point. The danger is that I thought Minnesota was a potential turnout point as well. Next game is the most important in the season, in my opinion.

Beat Rutgers, and we're playing for a bowl the day after Thanksgiving. Iowa will come in undefeated with lots of pressure. Beating a second top-ten team and going bowling would be huge at this point.

Ending the season in a positive fashion could be a huge deal..

Fantastic win and a great moment watching the team and fans celebrate in house after that W. I didn't want to leave. lets just get after it next week and land some of the recruits that we had in the house last night. That's all I'm concerned about.
