I like Nick Saban coming home, getting the program headed in the right direction then he picks his replacement in a few years when he retires. I know it will never happen but it’s nice to dream!!!!

Think about it. All the noise about the Huggins situation a few months ago. Lawsuits. Claims he didn't resign. Then suddenly..........***crickets***........it would be out of the realm of possibility that Huggs returns by late Spring.

He's a good coach. I like him. But he's shown that he's REALLY good when he has REALLY GOOD PLAYERS. When he has average players, not so much. And his style that top recruits once loved, mainly because they were unique, has now been imitated by many other coaches.

Great players make coaches look good. Dabo had great players. Still does but doesn't have the Watson or Lawrence at QB. So now their fans are over reacting. Big surprise

A great coach (and staff) with average players will usually do better than an average coach with great players.

Aren't the good coach's the ones who can punch above their weight class with average players? The guys who need good players to look good probably are average coaches.

No way, what we really need is a coach who did really well against a crap schedule 15 years ago. His success is too recent and too much for me.

Any coach who schemes their way to success at the college level gets copied/figured out then faded into obscurity. Players win championships. Dabo can come here and win 7-9 and not have fans breathing down his neck until he eventually bags another Heisman winning QB and takes us to the CFP.
