are everywhere
I saw a dead one on I-65 right by fairgrounds in Louisville

They are taking over!

Can we kill them anytime we want?

You sure it wasn't a baby mountain lion?
More likely that it was a mountain lion/coyote mixed breed. The baby mountain lions in the greater Metro area usually stick close to the dens...most of which are located in and around the Parklands/Floyds Creek corridor with the occasional outlier in the Outer Loop vicinity.

I use to work by I-65 near the Brooks exit in Bullitt County and we heard them all the time at night. Especially when a train went by and blew it's horn. That caused a pack of them in the hills to the west of us to make howling and barking like sounds. I found very large dog like paw prints up near our building so they likely wandered around by our building at night. Never did see one in person.

It's called a "Liote"......it's pretty much my favorite animal.

They are all over the place now. Almost stepped on one laying in the grass right by Man O War on an early morning run near the intersection of Parkers Mill Road a few years ago. Don't know who was scared more, me or him. Luckily we both survived to have a good morning.

But I also saw one cross Tates Creek Road near Alumni Drive intersection about 7 AM one day this summer, think they hang out in the Arboretum.

There is no closed season on coyote. Kill as many as you can as often as you like, please. I don't think poison is allowed though.

They are all over where I live. Just last week one was staring through our pool screen. I went inside to get a rifle and it was gone. Pets in the neighborhood are in danger

I saw one on 64 a couple of weeks ago. I just got a glimpse and the repairs will be $1200. I suggest shooting them, it's much cheaper.

I hear them almost every night out across from my house. There is a large open field with plenty of cattle and they are out and about looking for food. The local farmers around here have a bunch of dogs they load up in some large kennels on these extended bed trucks and take them out hunting for coyote's weekly. They kill plenty but, there is always more not long afterwards to take their place.

Lot's of info available on just about any State website/hunting&fishing/conservation/animal control...
Google is your friend...
Have them in our hood and they are suspect killing small dogs/old dogs/cats...

Coyotes can be hunted year round with no bag limits but you need a hunting license. Obviously you can’t shoot in suburbs so that would suck if they’re in your yard. I live on 22 acres and my next door neighbor is 1100 acres of Boy Scout reserve and next to that is 1400 acre wild life management area. Hear coyotes quite a bit and my stupid dog chases them through the woods. She’s gonna die some day

I live out in shelby county, we are filthy with them.

Drives my dogs nuts.

Need to check but I believe if you are on your own land where firearms can be fired, you can shoot them without a license.

I saw two walking down our street one night earlier this week.

What’s the deal? Any coyote experts on here? Lol

I actually came across an article about watching your pets because it was mating season for coyotes and that is why you see more of them this time of year. Supposedly runs mid January to mid March depending on where you live.

Coyotes are pussies. I slept in a lean-to for two months in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Wolves came through on a three day circuit. ***** coyotes were never around. BTW I kept a Mossberg 500 with a riot tube and combat trigger loaded with 3 inch mags and 00 buck in my rack. My ***** dog slept in the truck cause he was scared of the wolves.
