Speaking of phone, my 13 Androids (one for each wing of my mansion), just went through a massive 7.0 update. Might be the most drastic UI change I've seen a phone do in quite some time. They changed a lot of ****.
Not exactly the same, but we didn't want to spend a fortune on an apple watch for an 11 year old, so we went the re-furbished route. The first one was absolute garbage and wouldn't hold a charge for more than two hours. The second one works like new. It's a bit of a crapshoot it seems.
This. I've had fairly decent luck but my wife's last iPhone she got like that her speaker wasn't very clear, it would drop calls for no reason, and didn't hold a charge the best.
I've only had 4 cell phones in my life. The last three have all been refurbished Samsung models. The fourth is still in the box; it's my spare/replacement.

You can buy refurbished IPhones through both Apple and Amazon. There are boatloads more you can get (and cheaper than those two) around the internet but you’re trusting some guy off eBay.
I usually get the phone previously used, after the version of Samsung at the time that the family upgrades to.
My last two Iphones have been refurbs from Ebay. I do quite a bit of research on the seller and only buy the best condition. My last one was from a demo in a store. Cosmetically perfect. I will have to replace the battery (85%) within the next few months but the price was right.
