So, just announced today: Kerk is going to CJI, and will face multiple time world heavyweight bjj champion Fellipe Andrew in the first round. 1 million is the ultimate purse. Kerk will get 10k just for showing up.
Side note: Fellipe is one of my coaches. Kerk is an athletic beast and a great wrestler, but I worry about him defending leglocks and his ankles. Felipe is damn good. I truly hope that if caught, Kerk taps FAST. I don't want to see him suffer any lingering injuries.

I'm pretty sure I put a link about him competing in the Craig Jones Invitational in the Social Media thread. And there's also a link in that thread to Kerk's appearance on BaschAMania, where he talked about participating in that event. So his going to the CJI wasn't just announced today. It could be that the brackets were just released ... I really haven't been checking for the brackets.

My mistake. I just heard it yesterday in the gym. Fellipe is in Brazil right now, but should be back soon.

I favor more threads on this board as it is easier to find interesting content. Thanks for posting
No problem. It's pretty cool that one of my coaches is going up against a guy we're all big fans of. BTW, was talking to him and he plans to play a lot of guard to counter Kerk's obvious takedown abilities. Should be interesting!
