Just one game ago everyone was 'doom and gloom' and dogging our guards. I told folks to "Wake up" and relax. Folks, we are a good team, dammit. Start figuring it out instead of dogging us in losses. We lost to 3 teams that are worthy of "Top 10" caliber. Yes, including OSU. You guys told me that you weren't impressed with OSU, well, that's because we played them tough. OSU has won 7 or 8 games in a row, including beating Kentucky at home.

Stop the insanity, and start realizing that this cat team is a minimum 9 BIG win team. And stop your B^ing about Demps. He is our bread and butter and will be fine!

Case Closed!

Kentucky win was on a neutral court (in Brooklyn) but the fact is that OSU is loaded with highly recruited players, although they are very young. That was their first true road win of the year and if we had shot the ball better, we could have won. Liked Demps backing off on taking quick shots today and helping find open shooters.

OSU is NOT worthy of top-10 caliber, period. They played a bad game, and we played worse.

That may be true, but you have to consider the Cats didn't have Olah or Ash. Both would've been a big help to McIntosh and Demps.

Once Alex gets back in the lineup, NU is going to be tough to beat.

Totally agree with this, just could not disagree more with Turk's characterization of OSU as a top-10 team. They don't catch us on a bad night, we win that game by 10+

OK, I'll bite.

What exactly about Demps game yesterday makes you qualify him as NU's "bread and butter?" You know he wears number 14, right? Not number 35.

He's a senior who should have some leadership role. It shouldn't take him 16 games into his fifth season to understand he has teammates and 1-on-3 fast breaks aren't really a solid bet.

Demps is Demps, and as long as somebody else is popping 3s, you can live with his streaks. But you might want to wait until he shoots better than 20% from three to use him as the centerpiece of your silly I-told-you-so rant.

Also, OSU is down 24 in the first half at Indiana right now. Really stinks we just couldn't hit a single shot against them.

Ohio State is very average. They are not a top 25 team, let alone a top 10 team.

That win over Kentucky wasn't that great of a win. Kentucky's not all that great either.

OSU is not a top 10 national team and not even close to that level. KU, MSU, Oklahoma, Maryland, UNC, Duke, Iowa St., Villanova, Xavier and UK are top 10 caliber teams. Yes, I know that UK shot the three point shot poorly v. OSU but that does not mean OSU is a better team than UK.

As stated above, OSU has some talented freshman in Jaquan Lyle (6'5", 220 lbs. No. 40 recruit in the nation) who played solid defense against Demps and forced him into 3-17 shooting. Also, on offense, they had sophomore Kam Thompson have his career game with 21 points against NU. OSU is losing by 30+ points to Indiana.

Right now the Big 10 rankings go like this IMHO: Top Tier: 1. MSU, 2. Maryland, 3. Iowa, 4. Purdue, 5. Indiana;
Middle Tier: (Nos. 6-9 OSU, UM, NU and Wisconsin); and
Bottom Tier: 10. UofI, 11. UNL, 12. PSU, 13. Minn. and 14. Rutgers.

The most frustrating part of the Ohio State game was that Thompson was the only kid who could make a shot and Northwestern did a terrible job of finding him and forcing him to put the ball on the floor.

If just a couple of those open threes in the first half or early in the second half go in, it would have been a different game. Very frustrating to lose that game because I didn't think OSU played that well. We were just bad and unfortunately our senior leader kept shooting and missing!
