Offense just isn't scoring points. For the most part, they are moving up and down the field.
Year 3 and they are done already?? Really? Awesome fans. Maybe they are getting what they deserve....
The fans came, cheered, but reality sit in and they wanted to send a message. They did the right thing at the start of the game and the end of the game.
It's more than just 3 years. It's 16 years of not being relevant. We've regressed in the Riley era and people have had enough.
The crowd was loud as hell, and supported this team. It was a great atmosphere. Your garbage about fans not doing their part because they left a few minutes early when we were getting rolled and it was clear we were done is so precious. You're a clown.
My ears are still ringing. Decibel meter hit almost 110 a few times when I was looking.

I recall back in 2015 when USC played Utah at the coliseum, the place was barely half full. Where were you and your fans then? Guess a few losses in a row before Utah told you all you needed to know.

So effing sick and tired of the arrogant little twits on this board calling out our fan base. I was there last night screaming so loudly I have no voice today. And that was the same for everyone else there. That place was loud and rocking. And the tailgate and bar scene before the game was high energy.
But what our fans were treated to was more pitiful Riley style flag football.
I left with 3:00 minutes remaining. I was part of the exodus. I was dog tired and had a long, long walk to my car. I flew 1300 miles for this game, paid handsomely for a good ticket, partied all day, and screamed my head off. So anyone on here who wants to call me a bad fan for leaving at the 3:00 mark can kiss my ***.

As far as recruiting goes, it is NOT a foregone conclusion that this class would just fall apart, either. Bookie LOVES NU......if he stays aboard, he is also our best peer recruiter. This was a big weekend on that front.....not just with what recruits were in town, but what parents were in town. I am sure we'll know more in a few days where many of them stand.
Personally, I think that is why we need to fire Riley now and get the ball rolling for someone else. The new AD can be in place by November and announce a coach then. That gives the new guy plenty of time to try and hold this class together

People will try to blame fans if recruiting falls apart, but losing badly is a detriment no matter how often you say doesn't matter.
USC got what they deserved....probation. I would figure if you are going to cheat that much, you'd have a lot more NC's to show for it when good ol' Pete was there.
You da man Pennsyhusker, a better man than me. My last game was T-Mart/UCLA, visiting my in-laws in LA, and I left at halftime, because our defense looked like swiss cheese, and I couldn't take it. I just can't watch the recurring nightmare, yet I continue to hope for change? Maybe I am the sucker.
All I ask for us a single, complete game of effort, coaching, execution and play-calling. I don't remember the last time that came together in a big game. Really, it's been since Stuntz to Crouch, imo. Just total crapola since then.

Pretty sure the only arrogant little twit complaining about the fans in this thread is a USC fan... no one else here is complaining about Husker fans leaving early.
Again, like the thread title, the fans did their part last night, and it was clear even watching it on tv. When Stolt was mugged in the 2nd quarter, they even replayed the play full append and with the sound up to show how loud Husker fans were when there was no flag thrown. Husker fans were great last night! Don’t let USC twit bring you down.
I get your general point, but my remarks are directed at two or three regulars on this board who seem to enjoy talking about how stupid our fan base is.

You forgot that power football just doesn’t work in the BIG. There is no evidence of it anywhere. Sarcasm intended.

I just don't like trashing our fan base just because they are frustrated with the past 16 years and think that Frost might be a good coach. Maybe we are wrong. But it isn't self evident that we are. So the sarcasm directed at those of us who want Frost is unwarranted.

Who is expecting three yards and a cloud of dust? The phrase "power football" simply indicates a run first philosophy with an emphasis on physical offensive line play. If Frost comes here he most likely will not run an offense similar to what we saw from Wisconsin. Lots of spread option, read option, spread option type schemes. Just like Oregon ran under Chip Kelly. I am fine with that
A power football offense in my view is a system largely based on the power and counter, regardless of formation. Running can be achieved in zone concepts as well but I wouldn’t exactly call it power football. I’m probably just over complicating the view of it all here. I just don’t want to see people complain when they see a lot of zone stuff going on.
I would settle for not getting emasculated over and over again in this conference. Both sides of the ball
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we would never see power type concepts run with a guy like Frost. I’ve seen him running both counter and power at UCF but it’s something that can be confused with a play like the zone read. It’s actually pretty cool to see. I watched a lot of Auburn football a couple of years ago and they ran a lot of power power spread (I think that’s what they call it). It worked a lot like an old school smash mouth system where they would wear you down with a physical offense rather than speed and space.
So did the players walk out NOPE. If it was your kid would you walk out? They faced a superior physical team this year and never quit. Bos teams were notorious for that. We were out matched by a more physical and athletic and experienced team. This kids never quit though. It's obvious many of you are OK with this though.
We staked them a 10-0 lead. Then succumbed to your narrative.
