If I remember right, it’s only like 35.00
You should join the iron Dukes. That will cost you 100.00 and gives you priority for tickets

Holy cow 35 bucks? I was thinking there’d be a comma in the ticket price.

I just pulled up the website, about to join right now. Is it $100 annually or just once? Either is a bargain but just for my knowledge.

100.00 annually but it’s confusing. One is just a donation, and one is actually joining. A bunch of us last year only donated and had to call to straighten it out. I would recommend not doing it tonight, and call them tomorrow and do it over the phone and make sure they know you are joining and not just donating

You will also get priority for tickets when the students are on break.

For sure going to join, I’ll take your advice and call them in the morning. That’s a deal.

Since there’s priority tickets involved, what do the prices look like? Are they the same as being a non member and purchasing online like StubHub, etc?

Prices are very very reasonable, but I believe are standing room only in the student section

I’m expecting @Showenuff, @QC Dukie , @retiredsoldier, and @HonkeyT to be there!!

There’s a lot of others here that I would like to meet in person as well!!

@FearTheBeard , it’s only what, a 3 or 4 hour drive for you???
I think 5. Lol

If I can swing it, I’ll be there. My wife is already on my case about Vegas last week, Minny next week, and then DC in July. She is not going on any of those trips. She would have to be able to make the trip too or I might as well buy a one way ticket.

Thanks man. I’ve seen Duke play live 18 times, but I’ve only been to Cameron once. I think joining and getting the tickets ahead of time will make it easier to plan more trips down.

@DukefanKY @FearTheBeard

Don’t leave me out of your golfing plans. I ain’t scratch like you boys but my 3 handicap turns me into a scratch after a 6pack. I’ll be ready to get into your wallet.

Do you enjoy margaritas before shopping? I’ll send my woman with ya.

3 handicap? If you are serious, I need 3 per side. I use the grease, and I tee it up in the sand

I haven’t golfed a full 18 in ten years. Top Golf is my only recent golfing experience. I’m going to start playing again this summer, but if we go golfing you all will be sitting in the golf cart all day while I look for my ball.

I’m probably out for CTC...but I’m hoping to get down there for a game again. It’s been three years already.

Hahaha I’ve played all my life... I’m a Phil Mickelson type of player though when it comes to high risk/high reward vs safe shots. I typically shoot between 71 and 75 but depending on my “luck” with gambling the risky shots, I can also fire a 67 or 83.

If there’s no lip on the bunker I usually putt, I’ll let you tee it up lmao

It’s official, FTB is playing with a pink ball. Easier to see.

Best bet is to just put a gps locator chip in it.

Respectable.
That translates in my head as you hitting the same good shots consistently as a guy who averages 75. You probably are a decent/good putter too. Only difference is that your short game suffers. I could be wrong but that’s the common narrative.

I remember averaging around 85. I spent a grueling summer practicing everything within 75 yards to green. I was mid-high 70s by the end of the summer. Golf is funny like that though, how you handle like 20% of the game (pitching/chipping) makes the largest difference.

My two biggest issues are no length. Length isn’t the name of the game but it helps not to be hitting mid irons or hybrids in most greens.

Second is just can’t seem to avoid two or three bad holes

I’ll be there if someone can help me secure tix? Btw I’m awful at golf but can hold my own drinking!

The length problem is a fundamental fix, so you have that going for you. It’s probably something simple like playing the ball too forward in your stance. Or gripping the club too tightly surprisingly destroys length and most people don’t realize that. Have someone check out your swing.

Yeah the big numbers kill a round. I struggle with that, I’ll gamble a high risk shot to save par and end up with a triple. I’d be nearly scratch if I accepted taking a bogey and moving on.

Yea I plan on going since I've never missed one, but I keep telling myself I'm going to distant myself from college ball a little more next year and not get so attached to the players. Its causes way to much stress, but joy at the same time.
