He's great when he's on. I know some of you Royals fans were down on him early on. This is the real Cueto. He's always been borderline perfect when he's on. Wish I could have caught the whole game. Saw the last 5 innings. Cueto looked dominant. deGrom lost control and KC put him away. Collins should have pulled him sooner and they would have been more in the game. Fun night for you guys.

It was a fun night indeed! I was at game 1, so I was really glad it was a short game last night because I needed some sleep. Cueto is unstoppable when he's on. 2 things that worked in his favor last night, 1. The K. It's a big ballpark, so it's easier to keep the ball in the ballpark. 2. The Ump established a pretty decent sized strike zone early on. Cueto was painting corners and hitting spots with precision accuracy. He was actually making the same pitchs last night that he made in his last outing in Toronto, the difference was last night they were called strikes and in Toronto they were balls. Either way, Cueto was brilliant last night and the fact that he went the distance and gave the entire bullpen a much needed rest after that Marathon the night before is really going to help the Royals over the course of the series. I like our chances in Game 3 with Ventua on the hill.

I thought the umpire was pretty erratic with the zone after the first 2 innings(big zone the first 2). At least he was that way for both sides. Batters and both pitchers seemed to be giving him some confused looks throughout the game. Of course Murphy just whined every time a strike went by.

A masterful performance and glad Ned let him complete it. Hopefully we don't need him again this season, but if we do....

IDK. I think part of what made Cueto impressive was that he wasn't getting the calls. IMO, he was throwing a lot of strikes he wasn't getting, while deGrom was. I was getting frustrated. Good thing the Cueto was on....and the Met's have average hitters.
