Meh I don't really put much stock into bowl records reflecting on the conferences as a whole.

I do. It's basically the only thing we have as a measuring stick. Sure... they do have issues but these are 'out of conference' games. I don't see how else you are going to establish a hierarchy or ranking until a real playoff picture emerges.

Bowl games and their outcomes should be given proper weight to each team as well as the conference as a whole. If a conference has 7 or 8 teams in bowl games, many of which are in the top 25, but said teams get beat the results do provide a baseline to measure the teams and the conference as a whole.

I used to not care what other big 12 teams did during the season or in bowls but the way the media slams it every chance they get has just gotten ridiculous. Yeah they can say what they want sure but its not just a jab here and there its pretty much every chance they get to bad mouth it they take advantage of it. It has been repeated so often that now most fans outside of the big 12 are saying the same thing. If you hear it enough on tv you will start to believe it. Reminds me of all the crap the fake media spews about Trump.

Anyway I was watching tv last night and saw a commercial for some media company that was showing clips of the teams in the playoffs, Bama, Clemson and Georgia. Yep you guessed it OU was not shown. No I am not getting bent out of shape over that but it is a bit odd that 3 of them were shown and OU was not. I am not saying its some big conspiracy theory but it is pretty obvious the big 12 gets the least respect of all the power 5 conferences and its not even close and for that reason I want the other big 12 teams to do well in their bowl games. The only way to change minds is you have to prove them wrong but even then sometimes its not enough. If OU can bring another title to the big 12 that would go a long way in changing some minds.

It may be the only measuring stick, but how accurate is it really?? Take the Okie State/VTech game. OSU held them to 21 points in the bowl game. Earlier this season, Clemson held VTech to 17 points. I don't think anyone on the planet would consider OSU's defense even remotely close to the same level as Clemson's.
