Hoak could be in the mix next year in a QB competition. Rose will be a valuable addition. The two WR redshirts might not play a big role next year but will be very important in 18 when many of our receivers will be gone. As far as defense goes, I would guess that most players are largely going to help with depth next year, rather than be expected to make a huge impact. Hopefully Leavitt is ready to make his mark next year. He was our highest rated recruit from the whole class (albeit as a JUCO) other than Young.Pardon if discussed, but what positions best benefit next year from the redshirts we have currently?
Honestly I can't name one redshirt. Hasn't Daniel played on special teams?
The 2 that are in position of need are Looney and Cross. Jackson might need to backup stallings at center.. Dont think Bannerman or robinson are needed except for depth.. But they will be very good IMO!!Who r our red shirts currently? Thanks
I would love to go to a bowl for a lot of different reasons.. One being that guys like gilliam, rose, robinson, walder, fortner looney bannerman ect would basically get a extra spring practice. That would have really helped guys like middleton, stallings, walker, allen ware jones ect..
Those guys along with Drake, Holtzclaw, Hughes, Rigg, and Watson are a pretty good group to hold over. I had forgotten about that.I would love to go to a bowl for a lot of different reasons.. Yeah, he may very well start at Center. Stallings is killing it at guard now. Don't know if you would want to move him back. Not sure Jackson will be a back up. May step right in at c

This is what really helped UL build their program. Playing weak schedules and going to bowl games every year. You get 16 practices before the bowl. So a redshirt Sr at UL this year has had 64 more organized practices than the redshirt Sr's at UK right now. That makes a big difference.
