Cynical Predictions For Our Bracket!

Time to see how cynical you are with the selection committee. Here are my picks for things we will see in our bracket.

1. A 2 seed that everyone thought could/should be a 1 seed. That means either Wisconsin, Duke, Virginia, or Villanova. It will not be Kansas or Gonzaga.
2. Notre Dame as our 3 or 4.
3. An SEC team, no matter how few get in the tournament.
4. If UCONN wins today, they will be our 9 seed.
5. A smart/does it the right way team like Harvard, Stanford, or similar.
6. Robert Morris
7. In addition to the above, at least two from the following list: Ohio State, Michigan State, Kansas, North Carolina, Texas, Louisville, Kansas

UConn not winning but a 12 seed if they do. Could put 'em in our bracket tho.

If Wisconsin wins they are a #1 seed and the brackets should be pretty balanced. If they lose they will be our #2

I don't think the outcome of the Wisconsin game has any bearing. It ends too late. Even if the committee thinks they deserve a 1, I will not be surprised if they get a 2 with us because of one magical word...geography. Arizona gets the 1 out west for no reason but that.

I go along with this but you have to UL in our bracket also.

1. Arizona
2. Kansas
3. Gonzaga
4. Utah

Looks right to me, but the 2 could also be Wisconsin. I think it's 90% Wisconsin or Virginia, and 10% Duke/Villanova (but I expect both of those teams to go to Syracuse). If the 4 isn't Louisvile it will be North Carolina. So it looks like this:

But we won't get 3 ACC teams in our top 4. So it is more like to be UK, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Louisville/North Carolina.

I don't want Louisville or UNC as a 4-5 in our region. I can't handle any more rival stress in the NCAAs. A potential loss vs. a hated team would put me into a deep depression for weeks.

ND as our 3 wouldn't bother me, since they'd have to play the 2 to get to us in the regional final.

After years and years of getting reamed, I feel pretty good that we'll finally get a fair bracket this year. Things worked out as well as they could in conference tourneys, and a brutal bracket would draw a lot of criticism.
