Speaking of the devil. Nebraska offered David Chukwuemeka , the top unsigned Juco D lineman. 6-5, 285. He’s coming for a visit. Bus stop that checkbook.
No thank You. Need big bodies in the middle. he isnt any better than Davis or Nwaneri. Need 315# NG.

Mmmmm. I’m not a huge fan of today’s JUCO players but Aaron Donald played at about 280 lbs. He dominated the interior D line. Not saying this kid is AD but IF he’s extremely athletic and explosive well…..

Rhule and Butler aren't blind, they know we need to be better up front. If they like the Juco kid it's not because he's an anonymous guy no better than Davis or Nwaneri. This guy looks like a unicorn. Yes please.

BTW, I agree with you 110% that we need a talented run stopping big-body NG. I'd be willing to bet we'll be active in the portal looking for that guy.

I don't understand why more teams don't plug a big OL in that spot, especially on obvious running downs. Especially if they have some athleticism. We actually have that on the roster - Pritchett has the type of body, and maybe even the same athleticism, that some of those big Georgia NT's had over the last few years who were excellent run stuffers. I don't think giving him 10-20 snaps on defense in typical running situations would make him too tired either. That way you don't have to find and compete for the 315 lb+ athletic unicorn who is primarily being recruited at NT, that every team in the country wants.

Big Mac has been on the 2 deep at OG. He was a wrecking machine as a DT in high school. I think he could flip over pretty easily in a goal line D. I mentioned it earlier this year.

We have a very good group defensively it's just the middle where we lack the physical presence in order to control games. With Lateef now running the offense all we need is that big strong run stuffing dude and we will win our share of games against teams we have no business losing to.

With the recent offers of juco edge rushers, McGahee redshirting and Ochoa disappearing from the depth chart; is it safe to assume one or both are portal bound?

Kind of wild, but MJ Sherman is quietly an important piece we don’t have this year. He was money on run downs. McCullough is more of a pin his ears back and go guy.
I thought MaGahee had really good instincts as a rookie player, and I was surprised he wasn’t in the mix this year.

MJ Sherman was a ******* beast towards the end of last year. Underrated player.

Good lord, no. Marshall moves to cb 1. Either Jones moves to cb 2 or we go to the portal for cb 2.
I don't think very many on here realize how good CW is, absolutely no one that is capable of being the cover guy he is. Going to need to get a DB in the portal.

Wright has been playing Nickel safety for most of the season.
