Like saying the only thing Beamer is disappointed in was the chain gang eating hot dogs?? That clearly wasn't the only thing he's disappointed in.My only objection is cherry-picking one quote of context and intentionally misconstruing its meaning.

It was a screwy game. I don’t remember ever seeing a team get twenty nine first downs and only seven pointslol, that's EXACTLY you are doing with Dabo's presser quote: Taking one line out of context and spinning as if he was saying their effort against Duke was good enough to win the rest of their games, when it's not even close to what he was saying. He was speaking specifically of the good things they did offensively in moving the ball. The context of his quote was if they move the ball like they did against Duke, they can generally expect to win. YOU did not listen to his entire presser but overreacted to headlines and let a 10 second sound bit cloud your judgement. That's on YOU.
In the same presser, he also said: "we lost the game but that’s what happens when you don’t do some of the routine things. We had a cadence situation, we had ball handling, we put the ball on the ground a couple times. Three trips inside the five we get nothing. Couple low kicks."
In his post-game presser he was more than forthright about the ways in which they fell short. The entirety of comments basically said "We moved the ball well enough to win but we made too many mistakes." And that is factually correct.
You picked ONE article from online that cites only the single line and does not give any context at all from the rest of the presser and all the other things Dabo said about the things Clemson did not do well. Yet I'm the one with clouded judgement? Okey doke.

I know he didn't predict to win out. They're establishing a trend of having games where they say "we should have won but....". Fine for message board fodder...not for the HC. But it's becoming a trend. They dominated the stat sheet against UT (more than against Duke), but only scored 14 and lost by 17. Had more first downs than us, a MUCH better 3rd down conversion rate, and destroyed us in the running game. But lost. Offense only scored 23 points.Dabo was also asked about a path to the playoffs following the loss and he responded with: "I’m just trying to win this next game. That’s the only path I want to do. I think you just put your head down. If we had won this game tonight, there’s nothing different – we gotta go win this week. So, this is college football, man. Anything can happen, right. But ain’t nothing going to happen if you don’t correct some of the things that you did tonight. So, we just need to focus on just trying to win a game, and let’s go from there. We know we get 12 opportunities to play, and we get what we earn after that. So, just gotta keep moving forward.”
From the totality of his comments, he was clearly not predicting Clemson to win out.

Cuse threw a pick at the goal line with 30 seconds left in the game to lose by 6. Clem destroyed the stat line. Based on the stat sheet, clem should have had backups in the game in the 4th.
and a little reality is starting to kick in that things are changing.I think he is that dangerous combination of arrogant and dumb.
This is a pretty good write up. The author's first point is what I'm saying. At some point, those mistakes ARE your team....not an anomaly. That is a legitimate observation.
DJ whatever his last name is coming off looking pretty good right now.
