Haven't been on here much. Had no idea, that's surprising to say the least.
Yeah they also got a 6'5 270 German foreign exchange student and the starting QB from west stanly. I think a couple of others as well.
With their recruiting haul this season they better make it. But the brawl they had in the gym a week or so ago tends to lean towards much discord in New London. They've had the talent the last four or five years but they can't seem to bring it together.
Don't know about the discord, I think they've been too arrogant. I knew when I got to the Murphy game last year and saw a player warming up with his shirt off that they were going to lose. What a clown, all we could do is laugh. But a fight in a gym, it's football, geez. Some libtards will take this story and make it an issue because it's not soccer, I'm sure.
I tend to agree with you on that and understand the physicality of the game etc...... This had nothing to do with that. Let's just say that there a few factors that regular teams shouldn't have that they do. Your description of the game you saw against Murphy sums up how that program is run. They have at least 6-7 players that have come in for this season. The German kid is an unknown but the rest, well, let's just say they were "invited" to come play. Anybody that says that North Stanly is a draw for talent is drinking more than kool-aid. Agree with you when you said they better make it this year. They've never been more than a Homecoming opponent for decades. Now all of a sudden they are pulling kids from four counties to come play? Riiiiiigggggghhhhhttttttt..................
Well its a one year deal, and an easy pull. They are loaded, they have a kid going D1, so you have a chance to be seen by colleges, it's an easy sales pitch. And the rb is a D1 runner as well. I think this is their year and they break through and make it to the title game. But I'm still going with Tarboro to win it all.
North Stanly has two D1 signees already. DL to NCSU and long snapper to UNC. Rhone has been looked at and Davis is as well. Issues with size for Davis will likely hinder his offers. There's a few others that I don't feel comfortable mentioning that may as well have offers on the FCS/low D1 levels. With the new rules in place and the "invitations committee" they have in place this season damn well better bring them something beside one playoff win. But, like it has been said numerous times before, all the talent in the world can't produce chemistry I honestly think that with all the outside influence on the sidelines and the players looking for "me first" they will not be around after the third round at best.
Good to see that the RECRUITING word can be used. Call it like it is. North is North. I was at the scrimmage and I've never seen more of a backyard football team atmosphere than what I saw there. They have talent in a lot of places but it was very evident that there was not a team on the field. It reminded me of a game being played for VTO, Army All American etc..... Look at me should be their mantra. Telling as to why some of those players migrated to North Stanly. They will not make it out of the West and they may not win the YVC. Regardless of what they have brought in they still put on the North Stanly jerseys........ Enjoy the ride Comets..... you will be a meteorite after this year.
Deadpool is dead on. North has to prove it for me to give them any praise. Maybe Rhone can explain to them how the Warriors have done it, maybe that will get them there...or maybe not. Takes time and dedication to make it to the big stadium not just talent alone.
Do you think there are FCS/FBS scholarship players at North other than the two that have committed and these two? If Davis has zero offers at this time it is going to be hard to pull an FBS (formerly D1A) offer.
Rhone is at NS. True story. But for people to say that north is arrogant or cocking is totally wrong. Only 2 transfer and I repeat 2 transfer will help these guys out this season. The rest of the 35 on Varsity have played at North Stanly since elementary school and most have Comet blue blood. There could be a teenager on any given team in NC that plays for himself. But this team isnt out parading around saying they are better than anyone. They just line up and play as a team and love each other. These guys have worked hard year after year to make the program a winning program. Please get ur facts straight before you post about teenage boys working hard for there school
I agree. I know this team. The coaches and players are just good ole country folks who play football. They are not out being cocking. But hey they are good. Real dang good. The 2 players that transferred will help but the core unit of this team has played and won at every level at NS for years. Guys can say all they want about North but they are just kids trying to play ball and support there school.

That and a North Stanly jacket proves that you are a Comet loyal fan. I applaud that. Please tell me about the players that weren't listed on last year's roster that are there now. It's more than two. I'm not going into name calling with you but you are trying to say that this team is North Stanly from top to bottom with two exceptions??? Seriously you need to stop. That's not close to being true. NS is and has been overly mouthy for decades and they have ONE playoff win in the history of the school. I was at the scrimmage and I can assure you that the behavior I witnessed was in line with what you'd expect from North. Nothing but mouth, not substance.
I will answer this. Since you know so much about this, name a player that wasn’t on roster last year that will help the team beside the 2 transfers . You can’t. These kids have played for North Stanly for years. North Stanly I said. Not any other teams. The perception is that NS is getting players from other schools which they do have transfers like most schools do from year to year. But I can’t make you believe anything other than you believe. But please have some class and don’t post something you don’t know about.
Also I was at scrimmage too. North wasn’t fighting that was parkwood and MIc. These teenagers are discipline from top to bottom
Booster? Lol. I guess you never been to North Stanly. But we have a good booster club for sure. But you act like NS is a college and the big booster is reaching out. I know it’s hard for everyone to understand how NS has got better from when they played 2a and 3a football conference. It’s was hard for years playing against Catholic, Monroe and Forrest hills. But now the program has been winning for years in youth league, middle school and now they are in HS and playing well. They just Plain and simple grow up

As far as the statement just posted, there's a lot of the sideline coaching staff that is visiting other schools. I'm sure the coaching staff has NO idea of that going on. That's what the NCHSAA has allowed and they are taking advantage of it. Wonder why they have ONE win in the playoffs? Figure it out. North Stanly isn't a program. It's a landing spot.

How many winning seasons? If you want to say anything about that youth league, playing in 2A, 3A etc...... get real. They have recruited in the rules of the NCHSAA. They still are. If they had half a coaching staff they'd have won more than ONE playoff game in 50+ years. Suck it up buttercup. Y'all are chasing lightening in a bottle. Yes you are correct. West Mont has dealt with the same teams in years past. West Mont has built a winning tradition. No one will argue that. Now North is trying to do the same starting with the youth league to HS I feel they are on the way to doing that. Great head coach and administration makes it a smoother process.
Yeah...all those Stanly County Youth League trophies have equaled what? A history of winning? Never confuse North Stanly with a "program." You just lost a lot of any credibility you may have had. It's a whipping boy school. Know that. Winning a Stanly County Cup doesn't mean a damn thing. I have more than a clue. I want you to explain why you won't address any of the previous comments. The fight in the gym, the arrogance last season against Murphy and the way they acted in the scrimmage? It's ok. You have a good bunch of players that will be playing basketball before Thanksgiving.

Please explain scrimmage. They played good. No problems there at all. Now there was 2 other teams having problems fighting I think it was MIC and maybe Parkwood.
It seems to me you must support a rival school since you are so salty about NS being good now.
North last played 3A in 1980-81 school when in the SPC. Albemarle, East Rowan, South Rowan, NW Cabarrus, Central Cabarrus, Concord, Forest Hills, and Sun Valley were the other members.

. Lived arnd North my whole life! Have friends that coach their and have friends that have kids playing there! So yes I have been to North. This senior class has been good all the way up and I give them that, but you better enjoy it this year. Booster Club members calling parents is bush!
Just curious who he has offers from. He has the talent but the thing holding him back is his size. Hoping someone gives him a chance to play at the next level.
If a kid warming up shirtless like he’s Ric flair isn’t cocky I don’t know what is. Talk about a clown. And Murphy just mashed him the entire game. It was great

Colleges don't care about grades. They only want to win games. If he can play they will offer. Should see him land somewhere next level. Can't NS for recruiting to win. All colleges care about. I Remember when Alb was always blamed for recruiting when they were winning titles.
NS admin will make sure their players grades will meet the min for college. No worry
Next level only cares about winning. Why not only care about winning & getting kids to college ball. Win and pad their grades so they can get admitted. That's the message colleges send out to high schools. Big $ to win college games. Doesn't matter how you get there.
