It’s not Matt's job to know the fine inner details about how college bb and fb works, he's a member of the media and he reports what he sees, just like every other media guy/gal.

Have to disagree with ya on that one. Jones spends an inordinate amount of time discussing various nuances of the game, i.e. defensive and offensive schemes, personnel decisions, play calling etc….
Ole Danny boys ratings (if you can call what he actually gets ratings) must be going even lower so his old standby is to say something about UK.

This is called kicking someone while they're down. He had a long podcast with Cal a month or so ago. I wonder if the "basketball savant" got his info about our issues from him.
Yeah and in most cases, he's not wrong, he's not saying anything different than what we're saying.
I've listened to him for a long time, I've never heard him try to act like he's an expert, in fact, he clearly states he is not an expert, he's just talking about what all of us are seeing.
It's a UK sports radio show and Matt is a media guy, just like Dan Patrick, Chris Fowler and Rece Davis.
There's a reason why Rece Davis has a cast of ex players and coaches on the set, they do the analysis and Rece sets it all up. Matt is lower level, but all he's doing is giving his opinions and reporting the information he gets, but for whatever reason, people trash the guy and I don't get it. If you don't like it, don't listen, it's that simple and Dan Dakitch is the last guy that should he criticizing.
Dakich has always played the BBN like a fiddle to get needed clicks/attention. Sometimes it’s him praising us. Other times it’s him trolling us (which he’s openly admitted he does). He knows we’re the one group that will always give him the reaction he wants when his online stuff needs some quick hits.

However, discussing it and doing it are 2 different things. There are a lot of posters on here who discuss it.
DD is a controversial figure for sure but a lot of what he said is true unfortunately. Kentucky Basketball is slowly becoming falling behind in the NIL era. The results speak for themselves both on the court and on the recruiting trail. How many top recruits have we signed for next year? How many have we missed out on? As a fan, we all should be concerned about this downward trend.

You think I wanted to hear Kentucky basketball is irrelevant ? What he said was some wild stuff, but if you remove those big blue goggles, you'll realize a lot of it is legit. Since other schools are basically buying their way to the top, our program has taken a hit. And let's not pretend Kentucky hasn't been greasing palms with $20 handshakes for years. Only the willfully ignorant didn't know. Don't be so gullible.
