Mullen hasn't been an OC since 2008. HC ever since other than this year being on screen for ESPN. He's the type you replace Stoops with, not talk into calling plays.

Hartline isn't bringing a QB from OSU. He recruits WRs. Day and Wilson are the connections with QBs.

I have a hard time believing anyone in the sec is looking at Mullen for oc. His offense is way out of date.

Hartline is a big target for sure but also a big risk. He's almost surely outside of UK's reach

Sorry, not sold on Hartline, at this time. I wonder if he can coach 3 and 4 star players as well as 5 star players. The SEC is not the Big Easy or Big 2 and little 10. Want be upset if he chosen but like other choices better.

Chris Olave was a 3 star recruit out of high school. He turned out ok.

Mullen still called plays as the HC

Mullen had a QB throw for 43 TDs and 4200 yards 2 years ago. That Florida team was ELITE on offense. I don’t understand how you can say his offense is outdated.

Lol. It was a guy he had buried on the bench that would've never played had we not injured franks. I dare say that doesn't scream offensive guru
Tom Brady didn’t play till Bledsoe was hurt. That mean bill was a bad coach? You said his Offense and scheme was outdated. He had an offense scoring 40 a game two years ago. There’s no basis for that statement

One is a defensive mastermind. The other was an offensive mastermind. Not even in the same universe. Nice try though

The scheme still put up 40 points a game lol. You said it was outdated. That’s a false statement. Nice try tho

Hartline recruited stroud. Stroud is leaving and McCord is taking over. Devin Brown is a true Freshman and will stay and backup McCord for a year

Hartline would be the highest paid OC in the country and probably make 50% of what Stoops makes.

There is no way UK gets him.
He makes 900k. No team is giving him close to half Stoops contract. The best OCs paid under 2 mil. 1.5 will get a very good OC. It really doesn't matter though. They supposedly started talking to Coen over a month ago. They're making him a nice offer. We will see where that goes but that is where they started

If Mitch hadn’t given Stoops a $2mil raise for no reason this year, paying Hartline $2million wouldn’t have been a problem.
Word is it still won't. Just its Coen being offered not sure it's that high but would guess close proximity

Read between the lines on my comment.

Hartline is THE best at his job in the nation. He is coaching at his alma matter. He isn't coming to Kentucky to call plays for a $500K raise.

Hartline isn't their top candidate. Idk where he is on rhe list but Coen is the top candidate. I do I think Hartline would come to UK but we will go somewhere and it will be in the range you said

Yeah as usual it's people being delusional. A former HC isn't coming here to just be an OC, so no chance of Mullen. And OSU OC isn't leaving his alma mater to come to KY. Both pipe dreams and unattainable IMO

Folks aren't being realistic here with these two names anyway

Hartline is WR coach but still he’s not coming here and some of these names are unrealistic.

Look at it this way, Stoops last three to five coordinator hires weren’t predicted. No one had Dawson, Gran, House, White, Coen, or Scan until they were in late stage when news broke from staff to an outlet. We didn’t know these names when Stoops was interviewing and vetting.

I think we get surprised again.

What about Gino Guidugli at UC? He is in the running to take over that program, but if someone else gets it he is an experienced play caller that was a very good QB himself. We could do a lot worse, IMO.

He was interviewed yesterday, i think as a courtesy to current players who want him as coach. I was not impressed at all with his offense this year. If he does not get the job he's Wisconsin bound!
