Anybody know somebody that knows somebody that can SELL this to coach Austin for at least a tryout of this technique with Cam Jurgens?

Would be nice to try something to eliminate at least one problem this year.

Injuries are getting brutal this year and not getting a receiver killed due a late delivery because of a bad snap might be worth it to the team... not to mention the receiver.

Hey, at this point I say why not give it a shot. Couldn't hurt much, as pretty much the only way to go is up.

Well, being that we are struggling getting the normal technique, doing something different midway through could actually make things worse for a bit.

Maybe something to test during the bye week.

Also, does the QB need to get used to the new method as well?

I was thinking that maybe it's a velocity thing, like does a spiraled snap have more speed delivered to the QB from the turf? Are they trying to min max the play velocity using that technique if it is in fact faster? Pop Warner said he saw no advantage over the end over end snap. But hurry up wasn't really a big thing back then either.

I know I don't coach so I don't know what's better. But I use a lot of hardware at work and if my Tapcon's are snapping off with the right sized drill bit then I go with drop anchors. It might be a sliiiiight speed reduction, but if the anchors are giving me a sure fire product then its faster at the end of the day instead of redrilling another hole and possibly snapping another Tapcon.

The guys who are really good at the dead snap don't float it to the QB. It gets back there pretty quickly.

Of course that doesn't mean Jurgens can do it, but seems like it's worth a shot.

It’s not a difficult technique to master which is why it’s used to limit bad snaps by the center.
