I noticed that he locked the other thread. That's fine, I respect his decision. I'm glad the thread was locked rather than deleted because at least that way the record of what people posted with the corresponding likes, etc. is kept in place. I stand behind what I said.

Agree with OP. I love getting into off topic and political arguments on other boards but I like that we don't see it on the Lair.

He is good at a thankless job, but this board has very good mods. As a fan of another school I have always felt welcome to post here, even some things that were a little controversial but never got a nasty email from any of them. Not only me, but fans of other schools are welcome here too, even your big rival, well welcome might be too strong a word, but they aren't banned right of the bat.

But since the change in formats I think all boards are a little more welcoming to other fans. I did managed to get myself banned from UNC's board. One of them made a comment about UGA and SEC academics and I replied it was a little ironic that a fan of a school that carried on the biggest academic fraud in NCAA history over decades, only to blame it on female athletics would say anything about someone else's academics, and was soon banned.
