How would you build a team to beat them in a 7 game series? I'm talking realistic scenario that's possible. The 76ers has a nice core of young talent with the most cap space. If the sixers brought in a couple superstars they could be special in a couple years. I'm a Celtics guy. They're making good moves but I don't see how they're going to compete with the Warriors.

You have to slow them down and attack the paint. GSW couldn't stop Kyrie from penetrating or Lebron from posting or penetrating, but Cleveland with JR Smith and Love were gross on defense anytime GSW got in a quick groove it was over.

I truly think that trade for Love is finally coming back to hurt Cleveland. An athletic wing like Wiggins is exactly what they need now with another smart defensive minded guard.

Porzingis and Melo to Cleveland.

How far away is Minnesota? With KAT and Wiggins they have two huge pieces, then Rubio, right?

Wiggins will never win a championship as a "huge piece." True story. KAT needs a lot of help there to get to championship level. Look at the Clippers with Paul, Jordan, and Griffin. They can't even get to the WCF let alone sniff a title.

Make them chuck it from the cheap seats, no drive ten foot in, beware of that cracker box they call a gym, run the picket fence at them.

They are beatable.

The Spurs were whooping that *** before Leonard got hurt. Spurs had a 20 point lead in the 2nd half on the Warriors home court in game one...and then Leonard went down. If Leonard doesn't get hurt and the Spurs hang on and win game 1 in that series...who knows what would have happened. That would have put a ton of pressure on the Warriors. They rely so much on 3's. And if you are down a game...the basket seems a little smaller when you shoot.

But it has to be a team that plays defense. You have to control the tempo and control the boards. Durant is going to get his 25-30+. The focus shouldn't be on trying to shut him down. It should be on limiting transition points and limiting second chance points.

Was watching 30-30 of Lakers/Celtics this weekend with nephew. He asked the family if either Lakers or Celtics could beat Warriors.

I said Lakers would. What would Warriors do with Kareem? He'd score 50. Magic was a 6'9" point guard.

Didn't y'all hear? Lonzo Ball is gonna make the Lakers better than Golden State himself.

He's better than Magic. I'm taking out a loan and putting it all on Lakers to win it all next year.

Easy money.

...said every old guy ever. No they wouldn't.
Not every old guy. I think the Lakers could beat them in a best of 7 but the Warriors is a more talented team. Kevin Durant made a great team just plain nasty. It's going to be interesting to see which team builds a roster to beat them. Would Chris Paul to the Spurs be enough?

I legit do not thing Westbrook, George and Lebron would be enough. Of course it depends who else they have.......the cage roster with Kyrie? Maybe!

Any team that doesn't involve Kwahi Leonard in some form will not get the job done IMO. I know Lebron is great but he needs awesome 2 way players at his position so he can guard Green.

If somehow you had Kyrie, Kwahi and Lebron I think we would have 7 game of the best basketball we could hope to see.

J.R. Smith needs to be replaced in the starting line up. He is fine as a 3 point specialist off the bench but he is not getting it done at 8 Points Per Game as a starter. Also his $13.7 million contract should be renegotiated to free up money.

Lebron should also consider taking a pay cut. He only has a few years left to win another title and he can't do it without more help in Cleveland. Lebron will make $33 million next year in salary but he also makes another $53 million in endorsements. His life would be much easier with another two way player on the roster. How much is that and another title worth? Use the money saved from those two contracts to sign one of the top free agents.
