....we saw it last night against UT and tonight, Duke (Hard for me to say it) against Bama. Two top notch offenses were shut down. I love good and fast offense, but defense wins Championships.

Dukes defense was good but they also scored the ball. It takes both. Houston almost found out the hard way last night.
Whenever you have a rim protector like duke has,it makes defense much easier! To beat them you either have to have bigs that can shoot to pull him out of the paint, or shoot lights out from 3! I don't see any front court this year beating duke inside!
And any guard penetrating will have a difficult time getting there shot off inside on him!
Auburn if Broome would hit 3+ 3's and pull him out and pettiford,Kelly,Jones are hitting they have a shot!

I think there are two keys to beating Duke, Force Konupple to take tough shots all night and get Malauach in foul trouble. That’s how we won. It changes their defense totally when he’s out of the game and Flagg needs Konnuple to open the floor for him and Proctor.
It's been proven that if you want one of the two in college basketball actually elite offenses tend to win more than elite defenses in March.

I agree completely. You need to be good at both. And many on here when looking at portal players only focus on offense, or just ppg.
Recall Malauach was cramping up IIRC.....and CF looked a little gassed at the end of our game as did Knuppel. They didn't look tired last night.
He did. We were down double digits when he went out.
As good as flagg is, maluach is the most dominant player on their team.
