Defense switch?

I know Pike is a Man to Man defense guy, but wonder if a throwing some zone wouldn't be a bad thing. Yeah, I know they have been getting killed by 3 point shooting, but with the length of some of the guys and an overall lack of quickness it could throw some teams off.

They don't have the guard (supposedly Miller) that can harass the point guard and disrupt the flow.

I think it’s pretty clear Miller will redshirt

I agree. It would protect some of the weaker defenders. Even a match up zone.

I loved Wenzell because he seemed to change defenses every possession.

I think it was last year (maybe the year before) where RU went into a 1-3-1 and it gave someone fits.

When asked about it on the post game show, Pike chuckled about it a little.

But yeah, it might mask the defensive struggles of someone like Jones allowing him to stay on the floor longer.

What struggles did Jones have he was only in for 9 minutes and I saw his guy make 1 basket which was on a pretty nice move!!
Mulcahy gets toasted on defense all the time his guy scored the last 5 points

When Cliff gets a 3rd foul call...might be good to switch to a zone, match up zone, just to f with the other team while protecting our center.
