True social media can be a powerful weapon. If you know anyone in local news, maybe they could use a story like that. David vs Goliath kind of thing.light them up on Twitter. worked for me.
Wife booked flight for 4 people from Cincy to Taiwan back in Jan. for a flight in May. Delta cancelled and doesn’t want to give her back the money. So I am going to sue this sorry company.
Any lawyers on here want to join in this action?
in the past, you would connect through Narita going to Taiwan. nowadays, delta is pushing through Seoul for the bulk of connections. Narita is fine; they have been thermal scanning everyone for at least 15 years. the only time i connected through Seoul, they tried to make me check my backpack due to weight. rubbed me the wrong way so i avoid Seoul at all costs because i never check a bag.Just curious, were you flying direct from CVG to Taiwan, or stopping somewhere in Europe or Asia and connecting on another airline? I would assume it would be a SkyTeam partner, but essentially that may be the rub. Irregardless, they owe you all cash, you'll win.
I got refunded by two different airlines for flights for this week. They wanted to give us credit. All I said was the government said you were supposed to refund since you were getting the bailout. Changed their story got money back no travelers insurance. Also got my money back from Cancun resort.Wife booked flight for 4 people from Cincy to Taiwan back in Jan. for a flight in May. You probably want to double check your contract of carriage but I have never heard of an airline refusing to give a refund when the flight is cancelled. It's different if you choose to cancel, for example, if the pandemic makes the vacation worthless because there's no point in going, but if Delta cuts the flight it should be a refund, period. The same thing happened to me recently but I just took the credit and applied it for October. If I had wanted the money back, and been refused, I would be contacting an attorney immediately.Wife booked flight for 4 people from Cincy to Taiwan back in Jan. for a flight in May. No, she was flying from Cincy to Seattle then on to Japan then to Taiwan. Over $4000 dollars. She doesn’t need a voucher because when she checked dates for future tickets Delta had raised the price 500 a ticket. These airlines are criminals. I told her to sue the bastards so we are. If it takes my 4000 dollars to run these asses out of business, so be it, money well spent.Just curious, were you flying direct from CVG to Taiwan, or stopping somewhere in Europe or Asia and connecting on another airline? Great we can all go back to busses and ocean liners to get where we need to go.No, she was flying from Cincy to Seattle then on to Japan then to Taiwan. Over $4000 dollars. You have a lawyer willing to represent you on a case worth $4000? If there is not a class action, there is no money to be made by the lawyer. No, she was flying from Cincy to Seattle then on to Japan then to Taiwan. Over $4000 dollars. Happened to me with NCL. Supposed to have left tomorrow for a Scandinavian Cruise, but of course it was cancelled only weeks ago. NCL says we will get a credit for a future cruise and I said, "what if you're bankrupt by then?" She said she was only going by what she was instructed to do and I told her I'm going by what my attorney says he would do if you don't give my 8K back. She put me on hold and came back to tell me that my full refund would happen within 90 days. So we'll see.
Delta is slammed right now. Lurking the FlyerTalk forums, you'll see that there are many people who have been waiting over 30 days and still haven't seen the credit applied to their credit card. We canceled our trip 2 weeks ago, still haven't seen the credit to our card. We have the emails though, so we'll keep an eye on it.
normally, i would agree but i am a nobody in twitterverse. only had a few hundred followers at the time but i was relentless at tweeting them. eventually, they will respond to get it off of the stream. It can be if you have alot of followers. Everyone has a social media score so if it's low, they probably won't do much since it's just a refund issue. Unless, it's something that will go viral, like a baggage handler pissing it on your bag.
