I am surprised the official 2 deep is not out by now. Most spots are no brainers, but the DL and OL I am most interested to see. Could it be there will be rotations?

I hope we have enough depth, especially on defense, for rotations. Playing this type of defense almost requires rotations to keep up the intensity.

How can it be until the day prior or the day of the first game ?
We have a general idea now, but just the chance of injuries in the final week of August drills have to be considered.
In terms of just numbers, there will be depth....but how much of it will prove capable, especially on defense and on the offensive line ?
OU once again gets a lofty ranking to start the season. But if the Sooners are deserving of it, then it's all the more reason that 2019 will feature yet another Clemson-Alabama title game.

I heard they are no longer releasing depth charts, something about not wanting to offend the kids these days.........;)

According to HCLR, there are still some position battles not yet resolved. Now, whether one believes this or not, in the big scheme of things, a billion Chinese don't know & don't care. All will be known in due time.

I saw Crawford got moved over to DB. Did he play that in HS, and does this mean Grinch is unsteady about DB depth and skill ?

I heard that Starr Baldwin is no longer a Sooner...and that Crawford was moved because of this. Glad to know he was a good HS defensive player too.

Baldwin is listed on two separate rosters, the one here and the one on Soonersports.
He shares #12 with receiver A.D. Miller.

It's difficult to decipher the specifics but the "battles" continuing for starting positions seem to boil down to only a handful: Nickle...Bookie, Sylvie, Criddell; Jack/stand up lb...Terry, Redmond; LT...Swenson, Hayes, Walker; CB...Motley, Parker. The LT position is a real mystery partly because of Swenson's health.

I'm hoping since Bookie is being considered for a starting job that it means he has retired his signature shoulder shudder non tackle and gone to a more traditional tried and true wrap up tackle maneuver?

One can hope Grinch took him under his wing...and taught him the fundamentals. Otherwise he is just a tackling dummy out there. Here is a toast to Bookie having a better year.
