Derby Picks About 3 Weeks Out

These are my top 5 right now

1. White Abarrio - love this horse and think he continues to improve leading up to the Derby
2. Taiba - they said it would take a miracle effort for him to win the Santa Anita and he went out and crushed the field. This horse only continues to get better.
3. Epicenter - probably is the favorite for most people but I like my top 2 a little better. Think they have more upside.
4. Barber Road - horse continues to get better with each race and a little more distance might just do the trick
5. Zandon - he will finish in the money, just not sure it will be 1st. Lots to like about this horse.

I really should express an opinion here, if only because I have lost on the last 6 or 7 Derby prep races, that way you could confidently throw out my favorites.

Taiba is intriguing, trained by Baffert until the SA Derby, you bet against Baffert in the Derby at your own peril. I did love Early Voting in the Wood, who naturally got caught at the wire. Really liked Classic Causeway, until he spit the bit in his last race, but possibly was a clunker, he is better than he showed.

Think Epicenter and White Abarrio are the top choices but this seems like a particularly wide open Derby, you will get a good price on nearly any horse you like.
