It's a mistake. The box score has not been very accurate today. Skelly was credited with a foul from the bench earlier
If I'm remembering correctly if you enter the game officially, you are credited with a full minute.
Buckeye, this kid gave us a hell of a 23 minutes tonight. Six points and four rebounds and jammed up the middle when we really needed it. He'll be a player before it's all over. He has been very well prepared by our staff and his high school coaches at Cleveland St. Joseph.
There are a few things that long-time Wildcat basketball fans know for certain:
1) The season officially begins when the first player suffers a serious injury.
2) If we seem to have a guy entering his prime year(s), he will miss lots of playing time due to injury.
3) There are hundreds of bones in a foot, and the one that is broken or cracked or otherwise messed up on any specific Wildcat player is the one that takes the longest to heal.
4) We will be told that due to a foot injury the player will be “out for a few games”, and then a few more, and then a few more after that, and so on.
5) Foot injuries never seem to have an end date; for the ‘Cats they are LIKE cats, and seem to have nine lives.
6) We will take heart by virtue of another young player(s) stepping up, until he breaks something in his anatomy, usually in the area between the ankle and the toe.
7) In Evanston, It is safer for a tall individual to cross a busy street blindfolded and wearing all black clothing than to venture on to a basketball court.
