I didn’t love hearing Dioubate’s presser yesterday. I realize this could just be my perception, but he came across to me like he didn’t think Pope prepared them correctly in regard to defensive detail and then also didn’t adjust in-game to what Alabama was doing – which again he said he knew exactly what Alabama was going to do. He also said he had a mismatch all game that UK didn’t try to take advantage of; and that he was very familiar with the Alabama guys guarding him and knew they weren’t able to physical guard him in the post. And he looked uncomfortable saying this stuff, like he didn’t want to call out the coaching.

I also didn't like hearing Lowe remind me of the reality that I knew existed, which was him saying the “mental game” is the biggest issue for him because even practice is “a risk” and he can’t play the same way he could “in the summer.” He also said there are things he can’t do now in the game because of his shoulder. It is what it is, but I didn't mind trying to trick myself into believing Lowe's going to be be able to provide 100% of what he's capable of.

Imo, Mo isn't happy here. Not going to speculate on the reason. He has played for a coach that is currently considered one of the best in the country so he knows how a great coach functions.

It's like when you have a really capable boss and then that person is replaced by someone who isn't as capable. It produces an air of contempt for the lessor.

Let's not get crazy here, I like Mo I think he is a great double double type guy. But every guy on this team thinks they know how to fix the issues, Pope does have a system and these guys need to just play the best they can in said system.
It worked pretty well last year, and even a modified version can work this season.

I will keep saying this, FIX THE DEFENSE and the rest will come. Guys just need to focus on getting better and defending better, they start pointing fingers and the season is over (if it isn't already).
We still have time.

GET IN THE GYM AND MAKE SOME Free THROWS. Work on defensive footwork and blocking out.

He seems like he's looking for an out. By telling everyone what you can't do, the opponents will capitalize on that and then Pope will remove him out of an abundance of caution.

Mo is the only guy I have seen shoot two airballs from the outside then come down and make a lay up he is supposed to make…then run back on D giving the to small hand gesture.
He thinks he is way better than he is.
Really needs to stop doing that. He did it against Bellarmine. Really dude? Go do something against real comp, consistently, then we can talk. I’m not a huge fan of Mo. He’s OK, but was better at bama. He needs to play harder, stop with the 3, and rebound like his hairs on fire.
