This isn't a political post, but rather a post about how sports sites should keep out of politicos.

I am one of the first posters to support KSR when they are wrongly criticized in my opinion, but the article from Jonathan Miller that has been posted on their site further proves that everything in today's world has to try and prove a political point.

KSR should stick to sports coverage in the way that they always have and everyone other than Matt needs to keep the politico crap to themselves.

For the record I am a Republican and disagree with Trump, but this thread doesn't need to turn into a political discussion.

That guy was brought on part time to write those kinds of posts. That's his background... They file his stuff under recovering politician.

Once heard Jones call Frankfort on his show to ask about Rupp renovation funding. He got hold of a lady, who said she was Julian Carroll's admin. Jones asked if "she" was in. The lady chuckled but he didn't get the joke.

So true. That whole post was so out of place.

The best part is they de-activated comments on it so no one could even comment.

I don't care if they are right wing or left wing. Stick to sports. We couldn't possibly care less about their "views". Kentucky basketball has always been my escape and I won't let KSR and some sort of agenda ruin that.

Three things

U) it's not filed under recovering alcoholic politician, there was nothing to fix.

S) i know next to nothing about the guy, and i don't read political things because politics in this country has fallen to childish bickering and name calling

A) if he is a recovering alcoholic, then good for him. Alcoholism can destroy the lives of the alcoholic and everyone around them. Beating that demon is a job well done.

I mean no offense, but you could take your own advice on J. Millers posts.

It's like people who complain about things they don't like on television. I own a device that lets me change the channel if I there is a program on that I don't like or have no interest in. I wish more of my friends who constantly complain about what is on television would check into getting one.

Matt Jones can put whatever Matt jones wants to put on HIS website. You can choose to read or not read HIS website.

Freedom of the press provides that Matt can publish whatever Matt wants to publish on his website
However, the quality of the writing (and the holier-than-thou attitude) leaves a lot to be desired
That particular guy writes at the level of a high school newspaper editor which is to say, not so hot

Waited to see who "that guy" was going to be. This isn't a political thread. If you don't like it...don't read it, pal.
Writes post about politics. Berates other posters for commenting, yet tells others not to post//read, when he is complaining about others politicing, when he should be doing same thing.

Self awareness isnt really your forte.

I just read the piece and honestly I didn't find anything mildly offensive about it and I like Trump. Without going full polititard, he did say the Trump concerns are based on fears of safety and yes, it's a slippery slope to start singling out any race, nationality, or creed. Miller did not use terms like racist, bigot, Nazi, fascist, Hitler, etc. Miller was far more ridiculous last month trying to tie UK fans' dislike of Duke into why the state votes the way it does.

I think OP's opinion was that he wishes "Kentucky Sports Radio" would stick to talking about Kentucky Sports. It's a valid opinion.

I don't go on ESPN.com to read politics (mainly to read about Duke love). They can clearly do what they want at KSR, no one is arguing that, it would be nice however if they stuck to talking about sports which is what got them there. (Clearly they know it's out of place over there which why they disabled comments so they wouldn't get the negative comments about why on earth it was on there.)

Let's see, I could let the post bother me, post, cause a discussion, talk about how everyone needs to stick to sports.

Or....

I could not care and continue living my life.

Option 2 seems to work for everything that doesn't directly affect my life, so I'll continue to do that.

Anyway, I don't read the website..the articles are pretty boring to me. I do listen to the radio show though.

at least it wasn't another Drew Franklin post he's been rehashing over and over for 5 years.

I disagree politically with MJ. on just about every level but I love the radio show and website. So, his occasional (and to me, rare) forays into politics does not bother me. Some of you are far too sensitive.

That MJ and KSR can put the needle to ul and they're pitiful fans so well is enough for me. Do you UK fans want to turn the Louisville media entirely pro ul? Because without MJ, that is likely to happen.

Like mdlUK1, I disagree with him as well, and when I commented to him on twitter to keep KSR as sports and not politics, he blocked me. So basically, screw him and his thin skin.

I still read the site now and then. I listen to the show on occasion since nobody else discusses UK around here. He found his niche at UK and is making the most of it.

I think it's idiotic for OP to tell Matt Jones what he should or shouldn't put on his website.
Matt can ok anything he wants to to go on his site. I just said the site should stick to sports topics because they look pretty stupid posting crap like that. If I want to get slanted political views I will watch any of the major network news channels, but I like to see sports when I go on a sports website.

Why would you even start to read a political piece on freaking KSR? It's not what they do. Jones is about as qualified to give an opinion on politics as any other slapdick lawyer with a liberal bent. ie - very little. Actually, less considering his focus has been on KY basketball, not politics. Don't confuse someone having a microphone with being qualified on every subject. Just skip those posts, who cares?

First site I go to when looking for what's new with the Cats. I don't care if he copies other peoples work, if in fact he does. I certainly don't agree with his politics though, but UL fans despise him, so that makes him okay in my book.

Lastly, I can't believe anyone reads Millers articles. They're terrible.
