This summer has the reseaons.

We have it all. Just look around.

The Land between the lakes was a federal project.
Caves still unexplored.
Some of the most beautiful cliffs you will ever see.
Forests with the sweetest air.

Owensboro has a sassafras tree. It is either the oldest or biggest; not sure which. I just know that I spent the first 18 years of my life there and had no idea where it was. 2 years ago on Easter I said something about it at church and my parents drove me by it. It is a tree.

I walked by this tree for years from high school to work. I lived on 17th and worked at the DDI.

see I grew up in Landsdowne off of Old Hartford and then moved to Hunters Ridge in 6th grade. Went to county schools the whole time. Spent most of my time over there. In high school I had a bunch of friends at church that went to Apollo and OHS. I was a few months older so I was the first with a drivers license. Had no idea how to get around some of those areas :\

My wife and I spent a few days at LBL last September. We rented a little cabin out in the middle of nowhere on Lake Barkley. I love the area, we used to go there every year 30 some years ago. It’s changed a lot since then.

I need to travel to the eastern part of the state. Only been through there once. Last summer I went to a concert in Maryville,TN and on the way back I was in the market for a used Harley and went to look at one in Paint Lick, KY. Left there and headed on up to Lexington before coming back down to Gracey.

I don't remember exactly what town we were in but I drove through the oddest intersection. Coming up to the light there was a right turn lane, a left turn lane, and a straight lane. But on the other side of the light there was just a wall with no way to go straight.

Sounds like my experience coming back from Arkansas Grover. We crossed the Mississippi River into northwest Tennessee and headed north to I believe Maysville is the name, on the Kentucky/Tennessee border. Came to a detour sign that said road closed due to event. So we followed detour signs down a block, over a block, and up a block. There was no road number we were on anywhere. We got on the nearest eastern heading road we could find and 50 miles down the road ran into the original road we were on. I think the “event” was a disappearing road.

If you are going to vacation and spend your money on relaxation, spend it in Kentucky.
Kentucky will get back to normal quicker if you do.
Lots of good stuff to discover in Kentucky.
If you live in Kentucky, you live with great history all around you.

Hard to Discover Ky when it's closed.
You twist the truth. You can go anywhere, just don't make others sick by your presence. And don't get sick from others present.
That is how normal is done for awhile.
Our state parks system is just a taste of Kentucky. Ya don't need approval to enjoy. Ya need to look to enjoy.

I most certainly can NOT go "anywhere". I'd like to go to a pub in Covington or Newport this weekend. Can't do it. I can provide plenty of other examples, if you like. The Commonwealth needs to opened posthaste.

Cant wait to get to those parks nd rent a room and relax in the old bathtub while I look out the window at the vacant pool.
Pool is only vacant because your not there.
You can lead a parade or just follow along after someone else leads the parade.

Or because pools are banned.
Do you find solace in moaning about what you don't have? You sound vocal on it.
Look around you. There is plenty to rejoice on.
Besides, the best of Kentucky is not locked up in state parks.
When state parks were open, how often did ya go? Seldom, I'd bet.
I am guilty of not attending.

Great places to see in Kentucky that Disney will never get close to reproducing.

Just to start, Mammoth Cave

Oh look it's Andy's own online pr/ctr plan in action.

We all know ky. Most live here. People choose to stay home? Great. But they should also get to choose to not stay home too.

But with the tops covid unemployment in the nation, many of our brethren will get all too familiar with the outdoors if he doesn't leading instead of controlling

OP, thanks for the reminder. You are indeed correct...there are many great places to see in Kentucky.

I think I will start my wonderful journey of discovery in beautiful downtown Frankfort. Now that toilet paper is more readily available on shelves I will stock up and then go “discover” all of the glorious trees at 700 Capital Ave. and pay homage to our great King.

Must plan strategically...have to navigate the thick forest of cameras with swift caution. But it shall be a worthwhile trip. Thanks again, OP!

Long live the King!!!

And you sound like youre not playing with a full box of crayons. You are one weird s.o.b. i go to 3 or 4 state parks every year depending. I also camp out at the horse park with the lady pretty frequently since its close by and convenient...if we forget something I can haul *** 5 minutes home to grab it and get right back out there. But dont let facts get in the way of anything.

What in the world is the matter with you? I cant speak for him but I can speak for myself. I can find solace in being able to be free, white, and 21. I don't need some over sensitive little man tell me what I can do because some faux cold is going to get me. I can do what I want year round through the flu. I could do what I want during bird flu, swine flu, ebola, etc. I just cant now because our society has turned into such pansies that they are finally stupid enough to believe the hype to this ignorant ****. Yes, it's legit illness, yes people have unfortunately perished due to it attaching to underlying issues they have prior to contracting, and yes it is severely overhyped.

If this were not an election year, this would be nothing. If the economy was not doing great, this would be nothing. This is drummed up to influence voting not at the polls.

I concur. But I’ll take it a step further to add that if Biden were to win the election this will all magically vanish quicker than you can say, “Um...errrr...um...the thing.
