Disgraceful officiating

Agree. They have missed most of their calls.
I've followed UK since 1966 and I can't ever recall a loss when there were not complaints about the officiating. Yes, it stinks. About half the time there is no contact at all when fouls are called. Merely jumping to contest a shot without ANY contact is regularly called a foul. So when Cal was coach it was bad officiating because of the way Cal annoyed the refs. And now? Win or lose, it would be nice to not have to read these complaints every time we lose or are losing. This team is not hard nosed enough on D nor is it a good rebounding team. Unless those 2 problems are addressed, we will not win 6 straight games against good teams in March and early April.

Notice first 5 minutes - a rebounding foul and an illegal screen called on Oweh. Don’t think they showed a replay on either.

You could call a foul on multiple guys on every rebound, post up, etc.

This was the refs intentionally putting our best player on the bench early. Happens so often it’s comical.

People who chirp about the refs not mattering have never played a second of serious basketball.

When one team is allowed to play Jordan rules basketball, while the other is forced to play by soft *** free flow rules, the latter will always look like they aren't as physical or playing defense. The truth is they aren't allowed to defend because they are called for fouls.

Our opponents live in our jersey. They slap, hold, push, pull our players out of position, and touch them on shots. No calls. If we so much as breath on them it is a foul, many times a late whistle. That sort of crap will get into your head.

That is flat out biased. Not sure why it is so hard to understand.

It anin't the refs, it's the boys in blue tonight. Suffering a hangover from Saturday. Very sluggish and it is Super Bowl Tuesday in Athens.

Yes, only thing to decide is margin
Should have jumped out to a lead at the start when Georgia was missing and making turn overs. Instead uk missed layups and shooting air balls

He has been put on the bench the first 5 minutes in every loss I believe. Definitely was at Clemson and OSU.

As a referee , I have to say that I am seeing a whole new interpretation of what an illegal screen is. Considering that more than half of half court of Uga is initiated on the wing via an illegal screen we have something that uga Coach is running over and over cause refs are allowing it.

On the other hand , Kentucky bigs inability to box out and having to push, or hook is also a factor in poor defense,

The thing is we need to start going to basket at least try to go hard
To damn soft some of our guys are
And therein lies the problem. Except for Butler and Oweh, we are far too soft. Unless we're red hot as we were Saturday v UF, it's the same story v Clemson, OSU and now UGA.

This is a classic SEC “get the bubble team a key resume win” officiating game.

Half their points are from the line.

It’s the difference between football and basketball. SEC football has historically protected the top half of the league bc it’s all about bowls and the better bowls pay more so you don’t want to screw yourself out of the playoffs, top tier bowls.

Basketball the league gets paid by “per tournament game PLAYED”. So it pays to have as many teams in the tournament as possible bc every win in each round is worth the same.

Go look how conferences get paid for March madness and this will never not make sense again
