But Florida wanting to stop ***** recruiting of kids in kindergarten is hateful.
I mean does this really surprise anyone? I have a friend who unknowingly went there during "gay pride" week and got to spend all week with them.

As far as racial minorities it feels like they're already doing a pretty good job with that. My kid's favorite Disney movies are about an Colombian family and a Pacific Islander.
With Disney+ I’ve seen every Disney movie about 500 times between my 5 and 3 year old. Except for one glaring exception - the princess and the frog. Are my children racist?

But some of it is our fault, all sides. We’ve allowed corporations to basically own us. No wonder they think they should implement their own agendas and that they know better.

Portraying gay or trans characters in children's media is not grooming any more than portraying straight cis characters is grooming. If you think otherwise, you are a bigot.
It is crazy how woke corporations and the media are giving a very small minority of the population so much power. If people would really stand up and vote with their wallets, this would disappear. But we are lazy and don't want to take a stand if we have to do without something.
The vast majority of folks are cis. Most of reality is cis. No need to introduce children into the weirdness of a very small minority until they are old enough to understand it.

A gay family member a couple of weeks ago said he has zero problem with this legislation and he does not want kids that young being taught about hetero or homo sexual content. He was floored that this was even an issue. I agree with him.

It's not just homosexual topics that I think need to be avoided here. Kids at that age don't need to be taught any sort if sexual material unless by their parents.

I get what you’re saying. People have to learn at some point that not everybody’s the same.
But especially for young children, this is the place of the parent, not the school, or media.
They are totally against using common terms such as him, her, he and she because that might be offensive but are totally okay with derogatory terms that could be offensive like bigot, chauvinist. racist, etc. It apparently is only offensive if they deem it as such.

Hard disagree. If parents want their kids to view gay people as lesser, or othered, that's on them to teach their kids. Schools and media shouldn't be censored from portraying people as they exist just because some people are bigot who think there's something wrong or dirty or "confusing" about two men or two women being a couple. Gay kids exist. Kids with gay parents exist. Straight kids of straight parents will go to school with these kids, interact with them in the real world. We shouldn't censor our media and schools just because some people are bigoted toward gay people.

Yeah. Not a hard concept to understand. Teach reading, writing, math, hard science and how to learn on your own. We don’t need kids learning about sex and gender issues at such a young age. Let parents parent. Some teachers get very defensive about their role as teachers and not as the parents of their classes.
