Do anyone think any coaches will be retained or is a clate slate needed?

under normal coaching changes you'd expect some coaches to be retained to keep some continuity and maybe hold some recruits. but with this past season, it seems like a blank slate is needed . going to real fun over the next two weeks seeing who wants to be here and the styles they bring. Go Cards! btw, only downside to coach's initials are the double s, guess it's.got to be Coach Sats!

I cannot think of one of Bobby 2.0 coaches, that should be kept. I think we need to remove the whole cancer to heal Louisville football.

It should be totally gutted. Keep Notcha, though. Satt is going to need a tour guide of the local high schools. Notcha is Director of High School Relations.

I am hearing Kolby Smith has a shot.

That makes sense. Satt was preaching continuity. Obviously, big changes lie ahead, but if something isn't broke, don't fix it. The RB unit, especially Hall, showed glimpses of promise. Fans enjoy having former players on staff, too. That's why Lefors may get a call.

I would not be surprised if he keeps Galloway and Nochta. Nochta has been holding down contacts with recruits, so I expect him to stay.
There were complaints from somewhere about Galloway. Did not hear it clearly. Not sure if it was from players or guys he used to Coach with at APP ST. So there was some doubt as to whether he would be retained.

Galloway ended up being the fall guy for Wakeyleaks, but aside from that I havent heard anything positive or negative. I know at one time he was believed to be a good recruiter. Haven't seen much of that production, but who knows.

Galloway coached DBs, and they didn't look any better than any other unit we had.

Our former all-offense-all-the-time HC may have led to all of the D coaches saying effit.

If Galloway stayed with CSS three years, he must have performed better than here.

Galloway was on the offensive side - co-OC. Ward was the DB coach.

This may not be a very popular choice, but I’d like to see Mike Summers be retained.

The guy had success here in BP’s first stint, as well at some big name programs after that, e.g. Florida, USC (Trojans). He has 30+ years coaching experience, and he’s not to blame for what we lacked in offensive game planning.

Love me some Mike Summers Vol. 1 here but I think he’s headed for retirement. He has to take at least a little blame for the horrendous O-line play. It was downright pathetic most of the time.

There's always going to be the never ending debate about coaching versus talent. The thing is though, that Mike Summers is a proven O-line coach. He's done it time after time at a lot of different places. I believe there were two factors that led to our abysmal line play. 1.) Lack of talent (Becton is our only legit lineman), and 2.) overall culture and state of the program. It may be that Satterfield wants a completely clean slate, and I wouldn't blame him. We could however, do a hell of a lot worse for an O-line coach.

I don’t disagree that Summers has put up some impressive stats but I think in his case, he’s got almost 40 years of experience and I think with today’s players, they just don’t relate or respect older coaches unless they can show them what has to be done.

Just to add some sauce to mix I think Sat should go after Brian Brohm to be QB coach.

I think Satt ought to get who Satt wants.

Last time somebody told the HC who to hire, it was Krags.

In hindsight, I would love to know how his tenure would have worked out if he'd been allowed to bring the people who made him successful at Tulsa.

Sometimes it's not the man, but the man behind the man who runs the show. ;)
