Need something if it’s available. Sounds like Lowe is out for a while if not the year.

Aberdeen, JJ, and Chandler get the reins in that order for me.

Now if one of those god forbid has a season ending injury in the coming couple weeks, I could see it.

I do expect our defense to improve slightly without Lowe. It’s more a question of how disjointed the offense becomes I’m curious about

What little we seen Lowe play he did not impress me especially in the Louisville game i also think we need an elite point guard more than we need Stokes next year

I get the impulse, but this will be a lot easier said than done. As quaint as it sounds in the NIL era, I don’t think we have any scholarships left for this year. Even if we figured that out, we’d have to get this theoretical player enrolled in classes, which would be more complicated now. If they come from Europe, there would also be the laborious process of getting their immigration papers in order. I don’t really see this being very likely at all, and it wouldn’t be a quick fix if we did pull it off.

It's too late now, but I never understood why we didn't look hard at this kid from Louisville Seneca as a back-up PG, if he was willing to come. We sure could use him now, especially if Lowe is out for the year.
He is incredibly quick and a tremendous ball-handler. I saw him play in the KY-IND All-Star game and was very impressed with him. He can play.

Do we even have a scholarship to offer someone?

1. Oweh
2. Aberdeen
3. Johnson
4. Williams
5. Jelavic
6. Chandler
7. Noah
8. Garrison
9. Horn*
10. Lowe
11. Tow*
12. Quaintance
13. Hawthorne
14. MoD
15. Moreno
16. Potter

Assuming we haven't given Horn or Tow a scholarship, we'd have one remaining. Does anyone know if either have a scholly?

Seems like it took forever and a day plus an act of Congress just to get Jelavic here.

I feel like it’s either that or bring Reece Potter off of redshirt, give him corn rows, and dress him as a PG.

The only problem with getting another PG, is taking time from players that have worked hard for playing time. It may cause more trouble then it's worth. Next man up, we recruited them, we should have confidence that someone steps up, and if not, so be it this year. We were supposed to be one of the deepest teams in the country.

Finding someone who is available this late is nearly impossible. Finding someone who is available this late and has the chemistry to meld into the team is impossible. If that miracle occurred it would take another to get them cleared. Just my opinion.

Can’t Oweh play point guard? What am I missing? Aberdeen? Chandler?

We have like a million guards. You roll with you got and avoid poor lineup combinations.

Without a true point like Lowe, we will probably have to minimize Oweh+Noah lineups. There won't be enough creative ability. Johnson, Chandler, and Aberdeen all currently have assist rates about 20. At the moment, we will be pretty good with 2/3 of them on the court at all times. Johnson has the best assist rate on the team. He might be capable as a true-ish PG as he gathers more experience.
