Do we still get to blame Dawson?

One game removed from his messy divorce with the Stoops regime, he lights up his old boss through the air and on the ground.

I will say that I have never seen a Dawson offense play a complete game. They were almost as terrible in the first half as we were in the 2nd.

Dawson sacked last year. I give him ZERO credit last night. Anyone with half a brain new to run the ball. It was the same run play. Yeah, he got the best of Eliott and Stoops for that matter. But let's not make him out to be a saint that was let go unjustifiable.

One thing last night shows it wasn't all Dawsons' fault as so many wanted to believe. I suspected that was the case. The offense looked pretty solid in the first half, and I can't blame them for the problems in the 2nd half. As I said in the summer, Barker would be inconsistent at times due to being his first year as a full time starter. That showed last night. But 35 should of easily won that game

The most disappointing thing from last night was the defense and the front line was as bad if not worst than expected. 4 years in and our defensive mind coach is fielding one of the worst defensive units in the country it seems and still can't adjust at halftime.

I recall him making the statement that this quarterbacks don't run last year.

We lost our chance at a bowl game last year largely due to his refusing to run a quarterback sneak at the one yard line against vandy.

Naturally, USM scores twice on it.

Not sure how Dawson had anything to do with our defense getting throttled all last year but people bought and gladly accepted him as a scapegoat as their heads remained buried in the sand.

Dawson was not as much blame worthy as he got lst year...but he was not a good OC and not a good QB coach. I'd much rather have Gran/Hinshaw vs. last year's bunch

We dropped an interception that my 8 month old daughter would have caught...game set match if he catches that...Dawson told his QB to handoff...he showed us

Dawson had nothing to do with it. A spider monkey as their OC would have had the same outcome. And I wouldn't want to punch the spider monkey's face, like Dawson.

His offense put up 520 yards. They used the run game to set up the passing game in the second half. About any coordinator out there could have done that. Our defense is that bad. I think stoops had to much control of the offense when Dawson was here. Rumors say that he wouldn't let him run what he wanted to. I believe that. Stoops even interrupted gran during an interview when he described the tempo he wanted to run. Dawson should be laughing. He put up 520 yards on a coach that fired him.
