Do You All Like Playing A Cupcake This Late In The Season?

With it being Senior Day and we are favored by like 50, do you all think the crowd will be very good in the Seniors last game at Commonwealth Stadium? With the weather being potentially crappy and such a poor opponent, it will be a shame to send them out to a bunch of empty seats. Even with bowl eligibility on the line, I don't think this game will attract a lot of people (meaning close to a sellout). I don't mind playing UL last, but I think they should have played this game earlier in the year. That is if they even had a say in this schedule. Georgia would have made a better opponent for Senior Day.

To me:
1. I hate the 12th game...every team is basically playing that 12th game as an essential bye week in October/November. But fans have to pay tix for watching this mess.
2. We should go back to 11 games...one of those 3 non conference games should be from a P5 conference for all P5 teams. Then you have 2 more cupcakes to play early in the season when teams are learning their system and fans actually care.
3. Lower tier bowls can still accept 5 win teams to fill out the bowls.

UK would have UL as our P5 non conference game to end the season. We can open each year with a scrub and then schedule the other scrub in week 2, 3 or 4...it makes way more sense this way and doesn't drain season tix holder for a game nobody gives a crap about.

I don't buy the prep for Louisville unless Austin Peay has a mobile quarterback and they likely wouldn't be athletic enough to simulate playing UL anyways. I guess I can see trying to rest up some guys to be healthier, buy I still am not a fan of it. Especially when there are a lot of fans who are on the verge of giving up on Stoops with a likely disappointing finish for the 3rd straight year (although we will finally squeak into a minor bowl game).

We normally don't sellout games like this (very bad lower level teams) early in the season when there is renewed optimism. How bad will the attendance be with crappy weather against a team no one really cares about? Like I said I just hate it for the senior class that they likely won't have a great crowd for their final game. The atmosphere for the Georgia game would have been much better.

I think it's a load of crap to have the last home game be Austin peay

The seniors deserve a good atmosphere for their last home game. Wish we could have had this game before Georgia and UT and had Georgia be senior day. Maybe if they had that 6th win they play more loose and badet doesn't drop a touchdown to put us up 12.

If the seniors deserve a good atmosphere, the show up and help make it one.

Check the ticket sales. It's going to take a heck of a lot more people there than just PhattyJ4UK to have a good atmosphere.

Effectively a bye week with the bonus of becoming bowl eligible. Not to mention rest and time to get healthy for a run at a UL. Umm, yeah, I like it.

I would rather had it the week before UT. I think it could have made a huge difference. They were coming off of an easy win over a lightweight and came into that game with us looking much fresher.

I'd rather have the bye week before UL..

Move the Northeastern Southwestern State University College Technical School Campus for online students game to about the third week in october to break up the SEC gauntlet...

For win purposes, yes. For crowd purposes, no. It sets us up nicely for UL. But I hate to send the seniors off with a lackluster crowd, with even those who show up likely to leave early.
