Simple question. I was just thinking about it, there's no team I consistently root for to do well outside of UK. There will be teams I come to like because of how they play, who's on the team, the coach, etc., but it changes year-to-year.

Yes, I root for WKU all the time. I also pull for all Kentucky schools not named UofL (except in rare situations) to do well.
I don't have a 2nd favorite team. I do however root for Miami(OH), Xavier, Wright St, Eastern Michigan, and UD(Dayton) if they are in the NCAAT. Not UC or Ohio State, though.
Nobody in particular but NC State has always been my 2nd because of our joined hatred for UNC and Duke.
Not really but I pull for Pitino. I like seeing him do well since he’s coming to the end of his career.
I always liked to see UVA do well unless we played them. I always respected Tony Bennett (even more when he retired rather than deal with NIL crapshow).

My son goes there, so I root for them when they don't play the Cats.
I went to UK, Arizona, WVU, then Ohio State and I couldn’t give a **** about anyone outside of UK lol. Was at WVU when they beat our John Wall team so I actually root against them and I’m still stuck around OSU fans that I find obnoxious so I actually root against them as well tbh
Yes Mercer. One kid graduated from there and half a freshman there. Both cheered there. Now if they were playing Kentucky even my kids would be cheering for Kentucky
I’m all Kentucky but I did graduate from Western Kentucky so I do keep up with them some, more so in football though.
Can't remember last basketball I watched all way through other thsn UK.
Let's add Centre College. Both daughters graduated from lhis small great school.
I can in this to a point. It’s according where you graduated from I suppose. Example/ Duke, UofL ext. while I would certainly be proud of my degree/degrees, I could never pull for the athletics programs. Purdue is a great school and do great things for kids.

Yes, but it’s not on the level of fandom as UK.
I am a WKU alum, so I also pull for the Hilltoppers. But it’s a lower level in all sports and I don’t get upset when they lose and/or suck.
If WKU wins that day, sweet! If they lose, oh well. Maybe next time! It’s like that.

I went to EKU, so if I happen to hear about them purely by accident I will hope they win, but won’t even put in effort to follow the team (because I don’t actually care). I might watch another game during the NCAA tournament if it is on before a Kentucky game, but otherwise watch zero sports of any kind other than Kentucky.
