Just assume we will get hosed on the road and be happy with anything else. I've never seen officials in any sport get influenced more than in college basketball officials. As much as we like to think we don't get more calls at home...we obviously do. It's really hard to watch us constantly be in foul trouble on the road. How much foul trouble do you recall us being in at Rupp??? Hardly ever happens. Just my random thoughts from watching college ball over my 37 years of existence

The first two conference games Kentucky's opponents have shot over 60 free throws.

73 I believe.

Agree 100%. Every SEC team is going to suffer on the road this year. You should really just expect a loss going in.

The officiating was awful but the officials also didn’t give up rebound after rebound and brick open 3 after open 3

if we lost a 3 point game I’d blame the officials. Losing by double digits means you just got your *** kicked.
You do realize not being able to have your best players on the court for most of the game because of ticky tack fouls is extremely detrimental to a team right??

Williams is our best player? We are screwed

Look, the officials were absolutely terrible. But we all saw how UK played tonight, they were also terrible. They didn’t deserve to win this game.

This is pretty much my expectation. I said 9-9 in the SEC before the season started. After watching how tough the league is through the season so far, I’d be happy with 9-9. This team is too soft and inconsistent to be a real threat. They crumble on the road.

We have to many soft guys. Afraid Pope is to soft as well! His offense doesn't work well against a really physical defenses. I just don't see the intensity when opponents start bumping and pushing!

We have to win every game at home to have any chance at a winning record in the conference.

Honestly, I think we drop a home game, probably against Auburn, but we will steal one on the road to make up for it.

So I’m thinking 9-9 will be the final SEC record.

My thoughts exactly. And potentially a loss to TN at home as well. I would say the road win would be Vandy but I’m only 60% confident about that

I turned it off after first half. Officiating was beyond horrible but we didn’t do ourselves any favors either. Most of our guys phoned it in but felt like when we did give effort we were punished. Not sure how Cyril of whatever his name was got by with hanging on the rim and actually trying to pull down the goal down. Thought that was a T but guess not.
End of the day these games happen. Not worried about it over the long haul. Been nice to get a W though.
On to the next game.
Go CATS!

Our bigs are not great. Average offensively and zero shot blocking ability and soft on the boards.

I'm to the point now (started doing this last year) where I don't even start off watching the road games. I just check the score online at some point in the first half and see if it's even worth turning on the TV. I didn't watch a second of this game.

I ref high school and have reffed some college games as well. College basketball officials are by far the worst in any sport about letting home crowds dictate calls

Yeah, well, we don’t get calls at home either. Florida shot like 35 FTs last game. Like I said before, I rewatched that game and Florida took between 15-19 free throws in the second half that were egregious foul calls. It’s wild!

I'm older now so I kind of have to for my sanity and health. I mean, I'm bad enough getting worked up with home games. There is no way I can handle road games and all the road officiating garbage. Just gets me way too worked up. LOL Tonight was a very peaceful night for me thankfully even if I am still bummed about the loss.

The officiating was horrible for the Florida game and we won.
