I haven't. Had it on my mind for a while and then forgot about it. Have you done it?
I'm thinking about it. I have an Ancestory account and got a discounted offer the other day for 20% off. Might just do it for sh!ts and giggles.

Just ordered the kit.

Interesting fact - somewhere on a far distant limb on my tree is Dwight D. Eisenhower.

My aunt has done some extensive research even going to Scotland. I have a ggf who was William Wallace's right hand man and he was drawn and quartered. Have another ggf who was with Washington at Valley Forge. Have another who died at The Alamo. It's pretty cool to connect the dots. My dad's side is mostly Scottish but his GM was half German and half English. All his other Grandparents were Scottish. My mom's side is mostly Scottish too except for my ggm who was half Cherokee. She is probably the reason I'm so sneaky and clever.

Someone before me did a lot of research and mine goes back to Glenfalloch, Argyll, Scotland 1680 on the Ancestory site. I was able to find another site that had this tree going back even further. If I remember correctly the sister of one of my many greats married Earl of Bruce.

EDIT: ggf married the sister of Robert the Bruce...and fought will William Wallace...they were actually classmates.
