Stay ranked in the AP top 25 poll? When they lose in the acc tourney (11 loss team), are they guaranteed an #8 seed in the big dance? Hopefully, they fall out of the ap poll and UK can can ground to take over the #1 spot again. GBB

Not sure what you are referrring to?

I doubt they stay ranked but who really knows. I think someone said they only have 1 win over anyone currently in the top 20. I hope they get a low seed and get beaten early.

I'll give them this. 8 of their 10 losses are against top 20 teams, including 4 losses to likely #1 seeds. With the exception of Pittsburgh, 9 of their 10 losses are against top 34 teams and all to NCAA teams.

Sure, 10 losses looks bad, but I'd still vote UNC a top 25 team over the likes of some pathetic Big XII teams, Big Ten teams or mid-majors who haven't beaten OR played anyone except each other.

For instance, is Murray State more deserving of a top 25 ranking than UNC?

If you've lost 7 times to top 25 teams and only won once against top 25 teams, AND you have top losses outside the to 50 - you simply aren't a top 25 team. UNC's ranking is a farce.

What #1 spot?

I believe UNC and KU can lose even more games and probably still be ranked roughly where they are. UNC is almost bound to. I guess in part because of the RPI the media and the coaches appear to have already made up their minds about those two.

been saying that for weeks as they would lose week after week and drop 1 place.

You all are just seeing this because it's UNC. Providence was also ranked with 9 losses. Those losses include Brown (256), Boston College (110) and Marquette (121). Sure, they also lost to UK and the rest of their losses are to top 34 teams. However, SOMEONE has to be ranked.

Look for them to move up a few spots, as the Duke game was relatively close. You shouldn't necessarily fall in the polls just because you're losing a bunch. What if some of your players look like they just learned basketball? What if the piped in crowd noise wasn't loud enough? What if your players spent part of the week attending classes? These are just a few things that voters should consider.

UNC won't be an 8 seed...nice try OP. The committee is going to screw UK, but not even they can manage that justification IMO.

AP Poll Top-20/25 Weeks Ranked All Time: 823 (NCAA rank #2)[79]
unc is 15 weeks ahead of UK in this category. The cheats have not beaten a top 25 team in 2 months. GBB

I don't think they are a top 25 team but they are a top 30 team but at this point in the season who cares UNC has maybe 2-4 games left IMO as they are doing nothing in the dance as they don't defend and can't shoot.
